CrapOn its last dying breath by the looks of it
It's entirely possible that they do exactly that. They'd be leaving money on the table in doing so but... Given the current climate it's got less to do with that would make logical sense, or what Frontier might want to do, and more to do with what makes practical sense. And yeah, there's animals left hanging for both games but...View attachment 384824
But would they really leave out one of the movie creatures, especially when the internet is dying for it?
So assuming we got support throughout 2024 with a final pack in spring 2025, what themes would yall pick for this year?
Not saying it happens, just curios
While I've not gone and explained it in such an organized way, that's sort of where my mind has been for some time. Two packs left. Late March/Early April (maybe a little delayed because of the console release) and Late June.I’m growing more confident that we have 2 packs left instead of 1. Just hear me out:
Jurassic World Evolution 2 has 4 classes of species, marine, flying, carnivore and herbivore; the game is also missing Microceratus, a species that is from the movies, so it wouldn’t be logical to not include it.
We have had 2/4 of those classes mentioned before be themes for recent packs (predator pack and marine pack), now the past couple weeks we’ve seen a lot of potential teasing for an avian pack for the spring pack.
If next week we get the announcement of an avian pack for spring for Jwe2, that leaves 1 class left to be a pack, herbivores, and coincidentally Microceratus, is a herbivore.
This pretty much guarantees that if the next JWE2 pack is avian, we will get another pack based on herbivores in June. The first games also ended with their last DLC in June.
JWE2 and PZ were both talked about the same way in the financial report, so if this happens for JWE2, it can happen for PZ, and Planet Coasters last pack the Ghostbusters pack, was in you guessed it, June. So would it be that crazy to assume PZ also ends in June as the other 2 (3 if JWE2 has 2 more packs) frontier games? Them saying “not quite done yet” also matches this, it could mean 1, it could mean 2.
Definitely something to think about.
Central America scenery pack makes the most sense to me, they can knock out 5 animals with that. And then put a few more in some kind of finale pack.Even though I of course want more than one pack, if it did happen and we got 2 or 3 the layout is even more confusing. The general need right now is LA Animal Pack which would have to be pushed til June because of the pattern, but if the last pack is in June, what would happen to Latin America?
Does the Other mammal category matter?Jackal is a carnivorans though?
5 for 5 for 5Would it be too outrageous to get 20 animals over the next two packs, and then get 5 more in a 5 for $5 for the 5th anniversary? Nile Crocodile, Masai Giraffe, Markhor, Eurasian Otter, American Black Bear. Not too much work here and cheaper to be in line for the 5th anniversary.
5 for 5 for 5!
The quote I could find from HeatherG: "So, what I was told was "The season pass will be available at launch separately"".The funny thing is that it's basically confirmed to be a separate purchase after release since heather asked the planet zoo team if the season pass was available separately for another forum thread.
Right, because they would rather say "preorder to get these animals which are not exclusive because you can get them later anyway" surely is something that will make people preorder the game more. The quote I could find from HeatherG: "So, what I was told was "The season pass will be available at launch separately"".
There's no real info there, and with being consistently called "Exclusive Pre-order animals", and referred to as a pre-order bonus on the purchase, I'm leaning strongly towards never being obtainable again, like every other Frontier pre-order bonus.
They will never do this simply because speculation brings attention we spend so much time speculating the inevitable end of the game that just telling us its the end will take so much of the communites engagement with themI can only think that if Frontier would have announced 1 year ago "this is the last year of support" we would be managing this current countdown in a much easier way... Or even if there is still 1 year more of DLC support left, I would rather know it beforehand. Like in the announcement of the Spring DLC they could say "this is our final year, just 4 more packs!" and I would enjoy whatever they throw at us much more than the constant doom-speaking.
I know it's not the way videogames developer companies usually end their support, but still...
I think console edition is planned for around then and thats why everyone is freaking out because they dont know what is going to happen to the dlc either it will release early late or conflict with console release.I don't know why everyone is wetting their pants. The Spring DLC has invariably been released in the week of Easter, which is Sunday 31st of March this year. If it's not delayed, that puts the release date at Tuesday 26th. It's not even March yet. Nothing is late.
With an exploration pack that takes us to different parts of the world:Can we talk about the elephant in the room of how are they supposed to add both the walrus and the coati in the same pack if there's only one pack left
The former: like rodents, marsupials, etcDoes the Other mammal category matter?
Is it supposed to be a type of mammal not mentioned above or dealers choice?
It does mean frontier is planning to release the season pass seperately which the thread topic of will the season pass be available after launch was asking. The wording of both the season pass and preorder animals don't hint to any of them being available later including on the store pages. Lots of people are jumping to conclusions and getting upset thinking these are preorder exclusive animals. The quote I could find from HeatherG: "So, what I was told was "The season pass will be available at launch separately"".

It doesn’t help that after an announcement Frontier will usually go back to radio silence, or they just don’t explain their inner workings. The situation reminds me of the whole WTE situation, where Frontier added a system for (assumed to be) flying birds and preceded to not add them but also never explain why they can’t.It does mean frontier is planning to release the season pass seperately which the thread topic of will the season pass be available after launch was asking. Yeah well I think we all know frontier is not the most transparent when it comes to explaining important things. It doesn’t help that after an announcement Frontier will usually go back to radio silence, or they just don’t explain their inner workings. Granted this is a situation that needs way better explaining. If consumers think Frontier is strong arming them into getting the season pass, or else they miss out on animals, it really needs to be explained.
Frontier: you can get these animals by getting the preorder!Yeah well I think we all know frontier is not the most transparent when it comes to explaining important things.
Yeah that adventure tour to see the animals post and it only ended up being the gorilla before asking everyone what their favourite animal isFrontier: let’s see what animals will be in the console game!![]()
