Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Me desperately hoping the game gets more New World monkeys, but seeing the community split all our votes among all 160 species.

(I know the black howler is at the top of the wishlist, I just thought this was funny and relevant)

Truthfully? I’m gonna guess one of these:
  1. Around the world: simple and obvious, covers the most ground.
  2. South America #2 Electric Boogaloo: also seems the most relevant
  3. Rainforest: gives us monkeys, and other tropical animals most requested.
  4. Treetops/monkeys/birds: very hopeful and unlikely, but Frontier sees all the support for birds and monkeys and says screw it, why not?
So one of those I think. Being 100% optimistic and hopeful.

Tropical Animal Pack

1. South american coati
2. Black howler monkey
3. Scarlet ibis
4. Fossa
5. Red river hog
6. Lar gibbon
7. Ocelot
8. Brown throated sloth (or macaws yk)

Desert animal pack

1. Dromedary camel
2. Black rhino
3. Addax
4. African Crested porcupine
5. African spurred tortoise
6. Hamadryas baboon
7. Greater roadrunner
8. Egyptian cobra

Oceania pack

1. Tassie
2. Kiwi
3. Tree kangaroo. Love quokkas but tree kangaroo was robbed here.
4. Victoria crowned pigeon (i like the LBP but i would go for something more unique). Other wise we can keep it.
5. Lorikeets (if not then just keep the flying fox)

Eurasia pack

Russian/Slavic/Nepalese architecture scenery

1. Mute swan
2. Sichuan takin
3. Golden pheasant or cappercaillie
4. Wolverine
5. Hermanns tortoise

Fossa, Wolverine, tree kangaroo, baboon, spurred tortoise all chosen because of being popular and high demanded animals among the community at the time of those packs (and some still are), but they would not be my personal picks. And i keep my favorites from each pack minus the sloth bear. Other than the bear trimming down the Eurasia pack was super easy for me: wisent, boar and saiga never interested me and besides the boar i still have no use for them. Wolverine isn't an animal i particular care about either but it was one of the most requested animals for a long time so is delusional not to include it. In fact the whole concept of the Eurasia pack was probably built around the wolverine as the first pick.

Tbh I have no clue, I wanna say across the world pack cause its the right move, but come on when has frontier ever gone that route lately lol South America makes sense, but it has frontiers greatest phobias in it so thats a no go, yeah I really don't know. If they go JWE2 route (giving what a portion of the community wants and not the rest) petting zoos, but that would be a pretty crappy final pack for the non domestic lovers. I'm stumped.

That was me being hopeful, being slightly more pessimistic Frontier will give us “what we want”. I posted this earlier so here we get it again.
  1. Baboon
  2. Black Howler Monkey
  3. Blackbuck
  4. Muskox
  5. Spectacled bear
  6. Serval
  7. Secretary bird
  8. Exhibit: anything, I’m gonna guess it’s gonna be WTE. I would love to say a bird for the final dlc, but it probably won’t be. Maybe the two toed sloth.
Contains a ton of flashy “clones” and it’s mostly made up of top meta wishlist animals. It’s what we asked for, and wouldn’t probably take too much extra effort on Frontier’s part.

Change the bear for the coati and we might have a deal. And needs at least one more bird. I can deal with no serval and get a bird instead like a pelican or duck.

I think is realistic to expect a pelican or duck to capitalize on the swan's rig.

Honestly, I wouldn't be upset, secretary bird and serval are high on my list, the only thing i wouldnt want personally is the baboon, but I wouldn't change it due to the many people who really want it

Just took a peak. Yeah Grasslands and twilight both do a decent job of diversity. I think we are overdue for the next vote :3

Yeah it isn’t “terrible” far from it, any changes that can be made to it are fine by me. I just thought it would be the most “realistic”. But yes I agree if the following changes are made:
  1. Baboon
  2. Black Howler Monkey
  3. Blackbuck (maybe serval)
  4. Muskox (maybe serval)
  5. Coati
  6. Duck (personally I don’t care for the serval as much)
  7. Secretary bird
  8. Exhibit: Hail Mary and like JWE1 we get something like macaws
Then this quickly shoots up to something I would really like.

Being completely honest, the pack would kinda be blown for me without the serval 🥲
