Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

honestly (speaking as someone not from NA) I wouldn’t consider the abb as being iconic to NA. I’m aware that they’re there but NA’s iconic bear is the grizzly without question. Is the ABB only iconic to those who live there?
Honestly at the beginning I didn’t want the ABB and didn’t think it was that important, but to some people it is considered an icon and I just believed them and left it at that.

As someone who lives where ABBs are seen on the regular, they are pretty iconic to my area, everyone is always thrilled to hear about sightings. I once saw a female and two cubs from a distance when i was staying with my grandparents. There was a hiking trail on top of a quarry that overlooks a small valley type thing, and that's where i saw them.

The ABB isn’t the American icon like the grizzly, but for where I live in the US they are an incredibly common animal in the wild and in zoos. The grizzly is usually in much larger zoos, while the ABB can fit the vibe as a bear for medium and small zoos. Doesn’t need as much space as the grizzly, also less dangerous!

The American ABCs are usually things like the grizzly, wolves, bald eagles, alligators, moose, and of course the bison. The ABB falls outside of that just by a hair though. If Planet Zoo had more stock in a management/ upgrades system it would be like you can unlock the ABB for your small zoo before you become a big zoo and unlock the grizzly. Not that I find the grizzly to be an upgrade, but I think it’s a fair comparison.

Actually the ABB would be an upgrade to the grizzly, since you can use a brown colormorph instead of the weird looking pearbear

I’m not, at all, disputing that the ABB is common or popular, just that it’s “iconic”, which is the word that’s being used quite frequently.

New steamdb update

No. An update to outsource_lqa has traditional been the indicator of a new DLC. Sorry folks.
Yes, but, based on other patterns of updates, that should update "soon". Of course, we're not in the standard pattern with this anymore, are we?

Gonna go optimistic and say we'll get the new pack on April 23rd. Right about halfway between the console base game/first pack bundle and the second pack bundle.
