Spring dlc Speculation 2023

What kind of obligatory carnivoran would frontier include in petting zoo pack?
I think thats the one they cant sneak one in.
Even in an animal pack, donkey, horse, cattle, pig, goat, sheep, alpaca, guinea pig, duck, bunny, chicken, goose, budgie/other pet birds and tortoises are way more animal groups they chould choose of, all of them being popular, most of them being just as easy if not easier to make then any carnivoran.
But if they do choose one, my bet would be on the ferret, which i wouldnt even mind as we do not have something weasel like in the game and they come in many different colormorphs. Also hooray european representation

I think there's a possible chance the next pack may be a petting zoo/farmlands theme, and while I don't dislike the idea, I hope it's not at this point. What I really hope is that we will get another pack or 2 next year, and that it would be a theme for Q1 next year. Mainly because selfishly, I'd rather get more animals from high up on the meta-lists and my own list first. Not that non-ZP/FL pack would bring those for sure, but it would be a possibility.

For me, lining up a potential pack with a rabbit, goat and lorikeets as possible inclusions, versus a pack that might include a sloth, red river hog or tasmanian devil? There's no contest which I'd rather have first. But eventually next year, when we've hopefully had all those more requested animals, sure, no problems with it then.

Regarding using animals that we have now in zoos, I personally think it's fine to do that if you want to. I think it would almost certainly be a sandbox only thing at this point. But to have it be in franchise we would need more, or if we wanted it to be a more realistic PZ with more appropriate choices we would need more. The only animals that I see as being appropriate for that theme right now are the Llama and possibly the Capybara.

Then pls also use the warthog as a replacement of the red river hog, as that is a much much closer and actual sensible swap in that warthogs wouldnt be out of of place in a red river hog habitat in a real zoo, unlike a babirusa or ibex in the petting zoo.
If that sounds unreasonable to you and you feel like arguing against that and in favor of the red river hog think about what you suggested again and how a petting zoo pack and domestics apparantly arnt needed in the game, afterall we got female babirusas, ibex and dall sheep that look like domestics if you squint enough
I am not attacking you so please hold your emotions and act like an adult. I have written clearly that it is not my intention to convince anybody to anything. I have tried this myself and for me it is unquestionably enough. If it is not for you I understand.
Please don’t be ridiculous with the red river hog / warthog comparison. Female ibex looks like a goat but warthog does not look like a red red river hog and that it just obvious 🙈😂

Im not attacking you, im simply pointing out the hypocrisy.
A warthog can fill every role that the red river hog would fill besides being red, meanwhile putting female wild animals in a petting zoo while possible ofcourse is a way worse replacement as these animals do not even overlap in use with domestics nor do they particulary look like them.

One thing with the domestics is that they would kinda have to be intruduced in a pack dedicated to them.
For example: if we were to get the shetland pony in a islands pack it would feel a little lost among the existing roster, like there is nothing else really do build a farm/petting zoo/whatever you wanna call it area with like goats, chicken and stuff.

Its the same with birds, to a lesser degree imo tho.

Excuse me but it’s not me who brought the red river hog discussion. Famous creators like Rudi or DeLady thinks that substitutes I have presented are great and I just thought it’s worth mentioning.
If anybody thinks that their ideas are not that good I am totally ok with that.
Person who every time pour oil to the fire is the same every single time here.

Red river hogs are clearly aviary animals and should not be considered for the game. They need to swim thousands of kilometers every day, therefore they don't fare well in captivity.
Also, they're fully aquatic, so they may end up being the star of Planet Aquarium.

In addition, their unique animations would be difficult to do with current game mechanics, and Frontier would have to redesign the entire game engine around them. Or something.

I didn't mention anyone by name, it's fine to suggest animals and whatnot but why do we always have to argue every single time domestics are brought up
