I miss read it! I would say really any commonly kept lizard for me. A gecko or chameleon maybe?
I think this would be one of the biggest disappointments in the forum if we instead should never get the Red River Hog. There is a reason why this specific pig is so high on Meta Wishlist and it is its colorful appearance. In contrast to the Gibbon we already have to pigs within the Game and looking at the Gibbon I still Hope for the Lar Gibbon as it has such a huge amount of color variations.
At this point, it’s so debatable.
I think they have purposefully chosen to reveal the Fossa instead of any other animal because it still leaves the Tropical V Island topic up for debate. No matter which of these it is, the Fossa would likely be one of the only likely and highly requested crossovers in possible rosters.
That way, speculation still runs wild and we can’t just guess immediately. For example, if it IS an Islands pack, and they revealed the Tassie, we’d guess an immediate Islands Pack. OR if it is a Tropical/Rainforest pack and they revealed a Sloth or a Hog, we’d just as easily guess!
So at the moment it’s really 50/50. I’m hoping for a Tropical pack, but it could go either way!

I want a chameleon, but since the fossa is taking the Madagascar slot, I would say the Philippines sailfin lizard instead

Yeah, not gonna lie, I really don't understand why they get so much flack. They are definitely unique and really common in zoos, at least in the U.S. I see very little overlap with the common warthog.
I do not see much flack regarding the Red River Hog. Some Perhaps prefer the Peccary which are also very or even more unique and would also make a great Addition to the Game. Especially as you could make a habitat for very big group of them. But besides I think the Integration of Red River Hog will Not let a Lot of people moaning.
It really started with the whole 'we already have warthogs' argument. The red river hog would be welcomed just like every other 'controversial' animal
I was just thinking: Have you ever considered that the sloth could work better as a WE-animal? I just can't see it as a normal habitat-animal. Would be on the ground most of the time. Had the chance to see a very active sloth-mom with her baby last year. Amazing moment!
But: still crossing my fingers for macaws in this pack, which seems to be a jungle pack. The many variations of butterflies in the last pack suggested towards that (at least for me). Because there are many color-variations of macaws too. And come on! Nearly everyone wants birds!

That's what I've been saying! If it was a habitat animal it would just be a repeat of the Koala issue.
There is a discussion thread somewhere and the opinions are divided. I personally prefer them as normal Habitat animals.
I REALLY can’t believe this will not be a walking exhibit animal (tiny bird or sloth are the more obvious for me)
Just remember that every DLC is technically almost perfect but 1 tiny thing prevents it from being so...
Maybe the theme and habitat roster is perfect but the WE or E choice divides us
That's where it's probably going to be, one of those two,...but imagine if instead...that background was to throw us off from guessing the theme, and it's something like a "Small Animals" pack.
