Yeah this feels like a high B low A kind of pack.

I like to build realistic zoos, so I'm gonna have my grumbles about the sloth. If you dont? Awesome, I'm glad. But making false equivalents and straw man arguments ain't it chief. Oh and telling people to be greatful for what they get, cause yeah that's the vibe people should get when buying a product.

Fossa has been in my top 5 most wanted animals since I first heard this game was coming out, super happy we get them. Red river hogs? Love em, see em all the time in zoos. Asian water monitor was something I never expected but I'm always down for more reptilian representation.

The lar gibbon feels weird and very similar to when we got the arctic fox. Lar gibbon was more wanted but when we got the siamang a lot of people were like "good enough" and now we have it so some folks find it redundant. Personally neutral but I like being able to diversify my zoos.


TLDR: pack seems fine, like what you like but don't tell other people how to feel. And frontier please give birds.

Platypus have no alternative, they’re unique?

There’s hundreds of larger, more common, more colourful terrestrial birds that enable greater building creativity than the kiwi?

Loads of terrestrial birds that would work both in tropical houses, in mixed exhibits and in their own aviaries. Vs Kiwis which are solitary, tiny, dull, uncommon and live in small glass boxes in zoos?

I don’t think it’s really the same lol

But the Kiwi belong to the most iconic terrestrial bird species which can be seen in its position in the Meta Wishlist.

Kiwi are also unique, there's no other birds in the world like them. There's also many other species of more commonly kept small semi-aquatic mammals, that doesn't make the platypus less special either.

It's fine if you have no interest in the kiwi, but what you're saying here sounds more like why you don't want them rather than why they definitely won't be added.

What does surprise me is that if this pack was inspired by Chester Zoo and Chester Zoo have Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth, so why we didn't got them? and then if frontier want to give us the Brown-Throated Sloth and then you can choose what species you want, and I'm really hoping I know unfortunately, it probably won't happen, but please let Frontier only add a new model to the baby sloth, I need to see baby Sloths!!!

Hey... there's a climb proof barrier. Seems like this is a habitat for the guests and the playground is their enrichment item. Oh well, humans... the peafowl will look at their breeding rate in pure envy :D At least they're immune to overpopulation. If there's not enough space, they vote for the biggest idiot to become the alpha to "solve the problem" and instead of stop breeding, they will burn down all the plants in their habitat to make space for even more offspring...

There's a ton of macaque, gibbon and langur species in SE Asia, choosing the Proboscis was a weird choice for both lack of representation in zoos, and unability to reenact their natural mangrove environment. Just my personal taste, but I find Sun bear & Proboscis Monkeys to be a bit ugly, and we had our fair share of weird/unusual animals in the SE Asia pack (Babirusa, even though i find them way nicer than the other two) and I would have enjoyed more commonly kept animals and more easthetically pleasing animals

I've never been particularly happy about either of these, either - any positive feelings I've had toward the platypus were due to it being generally popular and appreciating that others were happy, and it being our first Australian animal in over a year and a half (now a very moot point). I've never used either since my first experimental platypus build, and have no interest in using either in the future. The same goes for the sloth. To say that realism doesn't matter, when it's very clearly a major driving factor for no small number of people, is incredibly dismissive. You can use the sloth all you want, but I have no use for it, and that's incredibly disappointing considering the two-toed sloth was right there.

Funnily enough, I just realized all three species in question were from our spring DLCs.
