Out of curiosity, what is 14% of the funding since the investment to date?
I am far too lazy to check myself.

First Calder & Co investment was 23rd May 2018:
  • 10% of CIG purchased
  • Funding tracker after 23rd May 2018 = $186,269,896
  • Funding tracker after yesterday = $298,479,272
  • Funding increase = $112,209,376
  • 10% = $11,220,937.60
Second Calder & Co investment was 31st Jan 2020:
  • 4% of CIG purchased
  • Funding tracker after 31st Jan 2020 = $266,182,396
  • Funding tracker after yesterday = $298,479,272
  • Funding increase = $32,296,876
  • 4% = $3,229,687.60
Total return if equal to percentage of shares ownership = $14,450,625.20

Total funding now stands at just below $300 million, though that figure is deceptive since much or most of that money has already been spent.

Remember that isn't total funding.

That's amount pledged via the store. It does not include subscriptions or other income.

In short, that's just the money given for JPGs.

Clive (You don't fix bugs in alpha) Johnson lists all the additions to CryEngine that make it "StarEngine".

I have had many discussions with fans and how they believe CIG can easily backport LumberYard features into StarEngine and that gets addressed here too.

Hmm... that "Electronic Access" logo looks a tad familiar....

Speculation on SA is that CIG are trying to get sued out of business by ripping off other franchises/trademarks/etc. This would allow them an exit strategy with "Well, we tried, but we were stopped by that nasty evil publisher EA"

I think those logos are not new at all, no? Correct me if I am wrong but they already existed in the game years ago.

This cat dropped over fifty million bucks on CIG:

... and he'll want a return on his investment ... nor is he known for suffering fools lightly.

That's only 1314 Legatus Packs

Maybe. Don't recall seeing it before.

What do they even mean by electronic access anyway? Like there are computer games that you don't access electronically?

Oh gods, someone on SA has explained it. Apparently according to SC lore "Electronic Access" is the in-universe company that makes the games within a game in the SC univerise.

They just couldn't come up with a name and logo that wasn't a direct rip off of a real world company.

And why, oh why, did they choose to copy an "evil" publisher that actually releases games rather than just inventing their own and designing a logo that wasn't a rip off?

Is this just another case of CR having to compare everything he does with something else?

Its like he is trying to make SC the biggest pee-pee measuring contest ever in the gaming world.

It is there in universe game company that was bought by another in universe company... Original Systems whom made the game Arena Commander in universe

The flip of EA buying Origin

Just as Star Marine was made by Inter Dimensional Software

Example. CIG announced they would release a SQ42 video more than three weeks ago. Then they said they pulled it for "editorial" reasons. It still hasn't appeared.

How can anyone not be entertained by that?
Are you serious; What game hasn't been late on their proposed updates. A very recent example is: How long has FC's been available compared to their original proposed date?
