A year of work for hospitals? I hope they gain a bit of momentum :coffee:

To which i reply Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!!!!

I put that into Google and it says... "Did you mean: Interactive loading screen?"
Google is still referencing old technology… you know, like the one featured in games like Warframe where a nice animation is played while you move a little ship left or right so it looks like the ship is entering atmosphere!!!

No sir, this is QPITT… only available with Star Engine… you see, now you can move the ship with 4 degrees of freedom while traversing a physicalized environment… sort of…

I know it looks like a glorified loading screen but is not… trust me… would you like and Idris?

For what is planned, a "loading screen" with bad consequences if you get out of the warp tunnel and where you should be able to acess the inside of the ship and do stuff as usual...
And SC is constantly loading assets wherever you are in the system.
The "loading screens" you talk about are moments with zero impact on the normal gameplay of a game.

We are not reinventing the difficulty of doors, Doors ARE complex and difficult to code. Some here just don't want to acknowledge it.
We are not redefining "loading screen", warp tunnels in SC will not be "loading screen" as used in the game industry. If you think so, just give us your arguments.
Surely you just get two hidden NPCs to open and close them? If it's good enough for Star Trek .....

OK so what do you think is more difficult: A door or an interactive loading screen that allows players to limitedly interact with the game?

The Last of Us Part II co-game director Kurt Margenau called it “the thing that took the longest to get right.”
But I'm sure you know better than Sony Interactive how to code doors... It's easy : IF "want to open door" THEN "open door" ELSE "close door"
I have no idea how to code doors, but it doesn't seem to be a particular mystery for many, many other games, for example Witcher 3.

CIG have had the best part of a decade to sort it out, surely that should be enough time?
