Had real trouble dealing with mining debris on my very first (and best experience) Space Engineer playthrough: The red ship had a grav generator for itself but all the rock and precious mats flew off in all directions so I went with "what if" I configure the gravity field to extent where the drills are? And thus the rocks fell "to the ground" and were easily collected. Playing with such forces is fun, probably one of the best gravity funs implemented I had in Valve games: Portal 1&2 and HL2. I tried to create a gravity driven gun in SE - the principle worked but the outcome was lacking. The whole process was what makes these builder games so interesting. You go with idea, you prototype, you improve, and then you try to reduce (size, power, heat etc. - that's the hardest part)For the Petite Formicidae...
A little something I mocked up in Space Engineers, playing with the artificial gravity. Very similar to how the Millennium Falcon's artificial gravity changes direction in its turrets.

This is from a ten year old game. Seriously, "nested gravity fields" are kind of old hat these days...
