Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Even stranger, and as much as it pains me to admit...the only one out of those that gives me the experience of having a ship as a separate useable entity rather than being presented as a player attachment is still star citizen...go figure 🤷‍♂️
Don't forget Empyrion where you can build your ships from scratch with crafting etc. all functional and customizable. Not so high on the fidels though but there's plenty of game to make up for it.

Jokes aside, I felt that the regional accents and banter were a major atmospheric feature in RDR2. Like when the Irish gang member Sean calls out Arthur as "English". It lends authenticity to the characters, without extensive writing - just needs a good voice actor. In SF the Freestar guys seem to have a weighted occurrence of southern US accents.
Surely SC will have its own range of stereotypical voice-driven atmosphere.

So what's Star Citizen player number and funding looks llie this week? No Man Sky had been seeing increased player count becvause of disappointment with Starfield, is it the same with Star Citizen?

Revolver? That's an American thing. A real scot would use knifes.
That revolver was made by Webley and Scott in Birmingham England and was the British army service side arm from when the MK I was introduced in 1887. The MKVI was introduced in 1915. Served through both world wars and was still in service in 1970. Couldn't get much more British than that.

No idea, just saw it on an article that No Man Sky was getting spike in players.
I think they released another adventure or something. On Steam Charts they started going back up on the day Starfield was released for early access. So I doubt people where rushing out to buy NMS because of any reviews. Might be spite playing, you know, like those weirdos over on Spectrum do with their spite pledging, every time Agony Aunt mentions the funding is on a downward spiral.

I was tempted to get into NMS a few times but its the bright colors that put me off. A shame because it might be a game I like.

Its a good game. But i've done what i wanted in the game more or less and the new expansions they add don't really do enough to draw me back in.

No criticism of the game though, its a solid game at doing what it does, and perhaps in my younger days, i'd have sunk thousands of hours into it.

Instead, when i can finally wean myself off BG3, ill continue my play of Starfield. No rush though, happy to wait for performance improvements, more mods, bug fixes, etc.

And really, there's a lot of similarity between No Man's Sky and No Man's Skyrim... ummm, sorry, i mean Starfield.
