You aren't the only one. But that's alpha for you.
That excuse will only hold out for so much longer
LOL, that excuse expired years ago.

Limited ships and non profit? My wallet is so open /s
Nice! Its interesting to note that while Lego is the most recognised building toy others do exist too- there is (IIRC) a Polish company that does WW2 stuff and you have Megabloks (and other half decent non-knock off Chinese brands).
Heres an interesting video by Chachi Sanchez about using OPENXR with SC in VR. If they ever get SC to stop crashing it looks like it has lots of potential.
A game about persistece where persistence causes issues
Our org group (7+ citizens) has been running save stanton missions in Pyro for the past 3 days. (probably over 24 hours actual game time across the 3 days)
This is a after action report if our findings/ rant.
The game has worked pretty good overall, minus the current dire elevator issues, we've had some amazing sessions I can't lie.
Only come across 1 player threat in a hurricane who ran away after we kindly removed his right wing.
Other than that it's just been phase 1 and 2 missions, torping caterpillars in phase one and looting asteroid bases in phase 2, near enough filled the cargo bay up with ship weapons and cargo box's full of weapons and armour.
We've near enough done all our crews Save Stanton missions and so it was time to retire the polaris back to our home, New Babage.
(Here come the rant)
Except, one slight issue. No matter what we do the polaris just won't go through the worm hole back to Stanton. It will not 'see' the worm hole or recognise its existence infront of the ship. This was attempted on 3 different servers, all with the same result.
A game about persistence where persistence causes issues.
The right cargo bay door no longer functions, it's stuck halfway open no matter what you do.
Every PDC has stopped functioning entirely
The front bespoke gun is out of ammunition and we can't re-arm it without also spending over 3 million re-arming the torpedoes. (We recon we have around 15 torps left but we can't tell because the torp console UI is bugged)
We have 2 arrows and 1 hornet in the hangar and they have 'bounced' all over the place in there over the course of our excursions
The pilot missiles and remote missile turret are exhausted and also can't be re-armed without also re-arming the torps
And now the ship is stuck in Pyro.
The only way I can see us getting our plunder home is to transfer it into a freshly spawned cargo and launching that through the worm hole to stanton.
(And yes, I know it's in alpha)
I would like this to be treated more as a report of the issues we've come across by keeping a ship alive over a long duration than me ranting but it's very easy to just rant.
Also, do not touch the Polaris chess board while in quantum... just don't do it.

Dear CIG , if you're going to claim this the year of bug fixing , player experience and QoL changes to improve the game for your playerbase , wouldn't it be fruitfull to have a properly working event ? especially if you're going to attach timed rewards to it ?
This too, is a fine trip report...
Also succulent![]()
Star Citizen: Alt F4 to playNo joke, the fix for not being able to quantum to mission markers is to alt + f4. This makes the game think you crashed so when you load in again you’ll be in the same place, and should now be able to quantum to the marker.
