He says they need to get SQ42 out the door, make it sell well then reinvest that money to finish the SC MMO. The problem is they cannot deliver the SC MMO with all the milestones that they promised and are unable to fix some technical issues. We don't know if CR can stop his urge for feature creep or if SQ42 will sell enough copies.
Kinda out of the loop on SQ42, how far along is it exactly?
It's early days, but all of the mocap has been done 4 or 5 times now, and that's the important bit.
In October 2023 CIG said "As we move into the polishing phase, we’re fully focused on optimizing and fine-tuning all aspects of the gameplay experience to deliver an unprecedented cinematic adventure. To celebrate this milestone, we have gathered our core development leadership from around the globe to share what this means."
So it's been in the polishing phase since Q4 2023 lol.
So, looks like GTA6 is going to release before SQ42/SC.

Not that robust workhorses of the CIG fleet can't be in a state of rolling disrepair too

This is a common issue with many ships that have elevators. And although the issue can be played around on other ships by taking alternative paths like ladders/stairs/ramps, it's particularly egregious on the Syulen, because that elevator is the only way to move through the ship.
It's quite a shame too, since the Syulen is otherwise a pretty great ship. But this bug is the main reason I chose to melt mine, since I couldn't do any planetside missions at all. It's sad to hear that it still hasn't been fixed

This was my favorite line of freighters when they were first announced. I'm just so sad they couldn't get to do it right, it would have been awesome if they did.
Just hoping we'll get to see it's equivalent in ED one day sans the game breaking bugs of course
