There was better space ship combat in Jet Set Willy.
I hated Wing Commander at the time. It was basically this, but with sprites rather than a VFD display.

That is still physical hardware containing game logic, which far exceeds CI-G's ability to deliver Star Citizen on USB sticks. That is still a more robust gameplay loop than anything CI-G have thus far delivered. That is still a physically and functionally more developed immersive experience delivered to the end user than Sataball/TOW/Squadron42. That is still a more functional and realised hardware implementation of a physical controller device than CI-G have managed to produce so far.I hated Wing Commander at the time. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills
It's simple:
- The 3.18.2 that was on the PTU is moving to the EPTU, such that the EPTU will now be testing items mostly related to performance and bugs.
- 3.18.1 that was on the EPTU will be moving to the PTU, such that the patch that is meant for addressing primarily login issues can be stress tested such that we can determine if the patch dedicated to login issues has better performance than the patch (3.18.2) which addresses performance which will then be on the other server.
- On live we will have 3.18.0 hotfixes that may or may not be reflected on either 3.18.1 or 3.18.2 that may or may not have impacts for performance (stress) 3.18.2 formerly on the PTU or login bug fixing 3.18.1 now on the PTU formerly on the EPTU.
- Buy an idris.
Could someone who speaks CIG please tell me what version I am supposed to be playing?
Is it Alpha, Alpha Alpha or Alpha Alpha Alpha?
I wonder which country they're testing outsourcing to with this QA two patches at a time meme. Must be one that works on Easter.In today's packet of Sunday Crunch...

I'm already visualizing the next ship advertising slogan;
Apparently not only doors or elevators are hard, basic driving physics seems to be also an epic never seen task.
"This looks like an arcade game. While we are at kid games even the very first Mario Kart had much better traffic physics than what we have here."

Has anyone called SC a placeholder before? Because that's waht its looking more and more like to me, a place holder for a game rather than trying to be one.Far too much comedy salt in the comments to quote...
Both Games failed but SC failed bigly because as far as I know many of the game loops are not working and you have to play doll house to actually play the game. At least ED has NPC's that can shoot and is actually a challenge on a good day, does SC have NPC ships you can fight, or NPC's on foot you can get a challenges out of?
Wonder what happend to being more fun than any other game out there.Why are backers so salty? After all they are merely testing the game, not playing it. It is not supposed to be fun, or even working. Bugs and fun are lowly concerns far below the ambitions of the first virtual AAAA universe in the history of electronic nottertainment.
