They changed the website to show SC as 'Early Access'

So now people can argue it is a pre-alpha / alpha / early access / playable now. Pick your state!
I mean, they already had Early Access signs plastered all over the place at the launcher in game, at most promo video materials etc. That is not really new.

The question is what was stated in that particular page before this change?

Btw, we are probably not looking at the same pages, because at the main SC landing pages there is no mention of the early acces or alpha (nevermind crowdfund).

It’s all about “PLAY NOW!”

Edit: ninjaed!

Funny. Went to: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen

Can't see a single mention of early access or alpha.

Just a lot of "Play now"

That "Limitless Sci Fi Universe" is still cracking me up big time :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Also note how they want to me to buy the game (again), despite me already having it and being logged in to my account.

Are those inflation adjusted dollars? You know 2010's dollars were somewhat stronger money than nowadays :)
Don't know about inflation conversion, but it's a funny coincidence they made almost enough to have a $mil for each employee.
I read on here more of their devs are straight from college and probably paid pretty low, anyone can alculate how much one of these would earn after 10 years at CIG? I'm guessing not $0.25mil

This thing still work? The Aurora over there doesn't look much better...
Haven't checked on this in long time...years even

Hmm...oh well

EDIT:
I'm coming up on 10 years since I bought an Aurora to hop into the pre-pre-pre-pre-Alpha. I knew I was playing the long game here, but dang...

One of the biggest ironies regarding Star Citizen’s development is that I backed the Kickstarter to give me something to play while I waited for Elite Dangerous to develop. I instead, it turned out to be the other way around, and SC is no closer to a playable state now than it was in 2014, let alone 2012 when Chris Roberts wrote on the Kickstarter

Even with our very limited self-funding we have been able to do already a lot of work which is why we can show you not just concept art and a cinematic trailer, but an extensive demo of actual game play.

Stu has been digging...

Ortwin's retirement / golden yacht membership pretty much confirmed...

Key note: Indus Management is Calders, and their shareholding has increased to 20.7% of the company, up from 15% (back in 2020 following their second investment)

89.4% of Ortwin's shares went to Calders
what would be of partial interest, though i doubt it'll ever be made public, is whether Ortwin gave away his shares for free, or sold them.
because the price he sold them at would define the current valuation of the company.
if he sold them at the same valuation used when Calders invested back in 2020, Ortwin will have pocketed $20m or so.
imo it's doubtful Ortwin gave his shares for free, but also i doubt they'd have been at the previous valuation - my guess is Calders and the others got them cheap

Makes me think they Calders aren't eyeing the Q1 2025 lever then. (Unless they can cream that extra 6% off? And think CIG are good for it?)

Could make sense for any 2028 level pull though? IE more for the 3yr multiplier etc.

On the face of it though, they're still nesting with the golden goose. And ignoring the weirdly-shaped eggs ;)

Holy crap, they also copyrighted an MMO name in June:

Is Tony Z going to emerge from the woods? ;)

  • CIG have a small skunkworks team working on a fantasy MMO. It is intended to broaden CIG's portfolio after SQ42 & SC launch. CR sees CIG as a successful name in the gaming world and is planning accordingly.
  • Tony Z is working on an unnamed project. Possibly the same one.
