Got to be amazed by the dedication of these people. They are well beyond where I would be at the throwing the baby out with the bathwater stage.
Such a great UI that Morph has to squint at the screen to read the ship's speed. This was Jump attempt 5:
(Part 2)
It did eventually dump him in Pyro after a relog, but then he got stuck in a lift
---
(Jump attempt 4 went like this)
And break a lot of things.Server meshing will fix it.
So I am very limited in what I can say here due to the terms of me leaving the company so I'm going to have to dance here, but release dates are based on what producers are told and what they tell those above them.
You were getting CitCon OR a full 4.0 Not both, there ain't -->
enough people at CIG for both, especially with how much attention CitCon took. And an unfortunate reality is if they try and crunch again so soon after CitCon, it's going to gut staff.
In shock news, Citcon distracts from work on the game...

Approx 1000 employees and there's not enough to make a promo event and deliver on a patch?
Makes one wonder about what percentage are actual devs vs. how many artists and marketing people they have.
Also, whatever happened to Chris' plans to grow staffing at CIG? Wasn't the Manchester office alone meant to hit 1000 employees?
Citcon isn't just a promo event, it's Ci~G's core business model... where did you think all of those nice videos and 'work in progress' demo reels came from and how many devs and different departments it took to make them? Not to mention how long they actually took to cobble together... A couple of weekends with compulsory overtime? My aching backside they did, they've been all hands to the pumps developing nothing but Citcon and IAE content for literally months.Approx 1000 employees and there's not enough to make a promo event and deliver on a patch?
