Morph really not having the best time. He's finally got out of his ship on a Pyro surface... (after 2 server recoveries post landing)...

(These surface location issues seem like more than just a quick patch job... - Here's another example)

(EDIT: The surfaces of that entire location were messed up. Along with the lighting. Morph then server errored on return to his ship... Every stream I'm looking at is currently in server error...)

(EDIT2: They're all now dropping in and out of regular server errors. But not in sync. All different servers. Only Morph is still stuck in one ;))

In shock news, Citcon distracts from work on the game...

(An ex QA dancing around their NDA there)

EDIT: For posterity...

So I am very limited in what I can say here due to the terms of me leaving the company so I'm going to have to dance here, but release dates are based on what producers are told and what they tell those above them.

You were getting CitCon OR a full 4.0 Not both, there ain't -->

enough people at CIG for both, especially with how much attention CitCon took. And an unfortunate reality is if they try and crunch again so soon after CitCon, it's going to gut staff.

Approx 1000 employees and there's not enough to make a promo event and deliver on a patch?

Makes one wonder about what percentage are actual devs vs. how many artists and marketing people they have.

Also, whatever happened to Chris' plans to grow staffing at CIG? Wasn't the Manchester office alone meant to hit 1000 employees?

It’s been pathetically obvious that since at least 2016, the Wastrel Roberts cares far more about the appearance of being a successful “rockstar” game developer than actually doing the hard work to become one.

Citcon isn't just a promo event, it's Ci~G's core business model... where did you think all of those nice videos and 'work in progress' demo reels came from and how many devs and different departments it took to make them? Not to mention how long they actually took to cobble together... A couple of weekends with compulsory overtime? My aching backside they did, they've been all hands to the pumps developing nothing but Citcon and IAE content for literally months.

I've said it many times, more months of the year are spent at Ci~G preparing content for the marketing events than actually developing the PU...and two thirds of those devs not firing out the next 'work in progress' demo reels or strangely polished looking 'greybox' tech demos as their day job are squirreled away working on the idiot Roberts' magnum opus. This has been going on for years... it doesn't take a genius to figure it out either 🤷‍♂️
