Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Also every year that goes by that it's not released sees an improvement in games and technology that may make SC old and dated by the time it is released.
The danger of writing a software for tomorrows technology. When tomorrow comes, your software isn't compatible with the new technology anyway, and you have to rewrite it. Which sometimes, from experience, is harder to do than to write it from scratch.

I've got a lively faithful on YouTube at the moment.

Oh, and I've already schooled you troll, that was like a month ago, you have to wonder about the mental health of someone who trolls videos on a game they dont like lmfao

I don't think he likes me.

This was in response to me saying CIG said SQ42 was close to release in 2014 and would be released in 2015 as a counter to the point about "development really only started in 2015"

He also said

and I can guarantee you have ZERO sources/proof they said they would release 42 in 14, that's just a weak strawman 🤣🖕

So he twists my words as i never said that CIG said it would release in 2014.

But he asked for sources/proof, so i nicely provided it.

However, here the story takes a twist. I made two replies to his challenge, and both dissappeared into the ether. I thought the first one was just a mistake. I'd somehow hit cancel instead of post.

But then it happened again.

I checked my YouTube comment history, nothing appeared.

However, i know i'm not banned from the channel, because i can post in reply to other people.

Since he was the parent poster to the comment chain, i couldn't reply to the chain as a whole. However, i discovered i could reply to someone else and it would accept it.

I didn't even know YouTube had a feature like this. Its rather cowardly, challenging someone to provide evidence and then blocking them.

Anyway, with the workaround, i managed it and provided quotes.

"There's going to be a lot happening next year. Squadron 42 is going to come online." - Sandi Gardiner, October 2014.

"Of course, for next year we plan to release the first chapter of Squadron 42 for you guys" - Erin Roberts, 2014

Citizencon 2014 presentation shows SQ42 Chapter 1 to be released in 2015. Chris Roberts says its already great
"I would put it up against any AAA game out there"

"You guys are going to have a great time when you get it in your hands, the first episode next year, right Erin?" - Chris Roberts, December 2014.

"That's right, next year" - Erin Roberts replying to Chris, December 2014.
