That isnt to say they werent a pretty asteroid and moon in the Demo, I'd more wonder about the 1G driving on that tiny body

Most likely being worked on. They showed test videos with low gravity in an older post about planetary work. i suspect they did not want to have a more hilarious situation with the demo and people accidentally jumping very high or the rover suddenly becoming airborne for a very long time before falling down.

Or most likely it is bugged at hilarious levels and they couldn't get fixed for demo.

As with every feature CIG produces.

link doesnt work

That's pretty much the inevitable fate of SC.

My last few final hopes that this mess would someday turn into an actual game that resembled anything that was pitched went away in the last presentation where they shown even more out of scope feature creep, mixed with completely on-rails, scripted "gameplay" that somehow still broke anyway.

@Wotherspoon

You aren't the only person who has looked at the funding graph and concluded there's more going out than coming in. I can never satisfy myself about what's happening with it because they refuse to release their financials, it feels like chasing ghosts.

Quick observation - before the disasterous Gamescon presentation I'd get "the truth is probably somewhere in the middle" when talking about SC. However during and after that whole week of 3.0 and future 3.0 I'm getting "oh maybe it is that bad"

RSync is now called "Star Engine Delta Patcher". No doubt another first in the gaming industry.

Nearly 6 years in and they're thinking about a delta patcher. This is truly incredible progress, only Rockstar could match them.

What do you think "Core Support for installing multiple games" means? I never really paid attention to that line before. Presumably they mean the difference between SC/SQ42.

Common industry practice. Every big studio is allways looking for fresh or experienced talented people.

To have that number unfilled for a project of this size is not common practice. I know because I asked someone who knows about 6 months ago and they said as much. 6 months later they still have a large number of place unfilled. Word gets around, quickly.
