:D It's something that wasn't too difficult to implement. If it's not as expected, let me know.
It works! The only issue being when "dark bg" is flagged scrap that, this seems to be the case also in "normal" (no dark bg) the MFD components do not light up when activated (e.g. cargo scoop, hardpoints etc...)

Thanks - I'll get on to fixing that (again as it's not the first time that active element highlighting has gone missing after changes).

Just want to say thanks for some amazing software! Like many, the more immersive i can make my time with Elite the better! Love the wealth of information i can now have at a glance. Only started having a good look last night at what it can do, but already planning how my left screen will look! Thanks again for your time and ingenuity!

Just wanted to thank you for an awesome tool! Specifically because I found this tool this past summer, I went a built a custom setup to support it!

I did something similar to your setup but I used a small 11.3" 1920x1080p HDMI monitor. To mount the MFDs I created a panel frame out of PVC sheet material, manually cutting it to fit the screen. It was a real pain to get right and it wasn't perfect. I've decided to rework the idea, maybe with a touchscreen monitor.

What size monitor did you use in your custom setup? The extra screen space looks like it could be handy.

I love the multipanel idea but have you given any thought to switching tabs using key combos? I'd love to be able to switch tabs by binding some keys to one of the corner switches on the MFD. I might switch to a touchscreen so you can consider it a very low priority request.

I see that alt-number [0-9, -, =] combos hide or show panels which will be great paired with the corner rocker switches.

Edit: Realized that the alt-combos don't have to be the number keypad, although they work, there would be only 10. There are a total of 8 grids and 4 MFD displays for a total of 12.

What a great tool you made here ! Thx a lot for all your work !
It fits perfectly my Cougar MFD with 8" screens, plus a 10" grid display !

I really like the way i can display things, but it lacks some informations to complete display, it would be great if you could add some panels for these :
  • Credits balance, rebuy cost
  • CMDR and Superpowers ranks & progress
  • Powerplay rank, merits...
  • Materials/Data counts
  • Engineers progress
  • Missions table
  • Target ship informations
  • Latest detailed scan data

I think all these informations are available in journal, but i alse have one last request : custom text buttons and panels... maybe we could use a INI file te define some cusom buttons texts, and some panels that display the content of a text file ?

Anyway, keep up the good work o7

I love this tool. I have been using it on a small monitor and plan to also use the MFD features when I get a couple more.
Is there a way to create our own toggled flags? Or a way to break out the toggled flag grids into individual buttons?

I'll see what I can do - some of these require tracking - and I don't think that the journal "knows" which materials / data are expended when carrying out engineered modifications.

I can add individual flag panels - and they can be "stitched together" into combo-panels (6x6 user defined grids that are drawn as a single panel).

That would be perfect! With everything going on I have nothing but time in the evenings to work on random projects I haven't touched in a while. So I will be building out a new cockpit and this is adding a ton of flavor to it :)

Hello, thank you for all your work! a great tool! Unfortunately I have problems with Windows Settings. When I start ED, the MFD window shifts.

It is a 10 inch display. Connected to VGA via DVI adapter.
