Stuttering and hitching after updates

New for me: stutters exiting supercruise next to the star if the loud screeching noise is played, if no noise it is smooth.
Stutters then opening the modules panel in the right side panel, this is combined with messing up and combining module priorities.

I'm on a Xbox 1X and before the patch it was smooth not I get stuttering at intervals, on a fixed hardware console this isn't good and does show the game wasn't tested before releasing this patch.

I’m getting it too (in solo). Cockpit panel freezes/lags, and sound/visual lags on exiting/entering supercruise and hyperspace.

The most obvious effect of this update for me is rubber banding npcs at stations. The effect is so regular as to leave perfect zigzag trails in space, indicating its unlikely due to random factors such as my connection. As for frame rate, no problem there, I run the game at 1080p with 1.5x supersample abs get a solid 120-144fps, before and now. It's exactly like pvp lag, except it's the npcs that are doing it.
I had this too. Not a frame rate/hardware issue as my pc is quite good. I was also getting very long supercruise and hyperspace transitions. I haven't played more than about an hour since the September update though, so hoping it goes away before I get home tonight :|

Seems to happen most when I switch to my Systems panel on the right. Noticed it a bit when I was engineering my shields, kept switching to check my resistances and there were some hitches.

Oi, this "whiplash" effect is really getting on my nerves! It's happening all the time since the updates, and it's pretty jarring when it does happen. It's not a framerate thing, it's a Max Headroom frame "reversal" whiplash-feeling thing, and it happens regardless if I'm in Open or Solo.

It's not quite EBL levels of annoying, yet, but if it keeps up, I might need to start a new crusade! Why Frontier always comes and breaks what I like is beyond me. It's starting to feel personal :p

I havent had any problems, weird
I'm running a fixed framerate with vsync lock because my display doesn't support freesync. Before the update it was solid at either 60 or 72 fps (depending on what I set my refresh to) and smooth as butter, always. Unlocked my FPS rarely dips below 120 fps, but I also prefer a cooler, quieter laptop, which is the other reason I lock fps.

I mention this since it may play a factor in why I and others are seeing this weird "head jerk" effect, but you and others are not. 🤷

Whatever the case, I hope it's fixed or at least there's a fix for it!

I also noticed my framerate to go down this weekend. Mind you, it was perfectly fine when i started out. I headed into the RES, all smooth sailing for the first hour or so. Only gradually my framerate went lower and lower, till I in the end left the game and restarted it.

After restarting the game, my framerate was fine again. I would guess we have a new memory leak or something like that, which results in the games performance going down in the run of time.

Anyway, has anyone else noticed this? How about you VR guys - this would be particularly jarring in VR I would think.

Noticed it just the other day when exiting a station and flying towards the slot. Thought it was being caused by my video capture software (but wasn't convinced of that because it has never done that before).

Good to know it's ED and not my system.
