Suggestions to improve my mining python (New player)

This is what i've ended up with

2B seismic charge launchers
1D abrasion blaster

0A pulse wave analyser

1C lightweight alloy
6A power plant
6A thrusters
5A FSC
4D life support
6D power distributer
6D sensors

3x 6E cargo racks
5C bio-weave generator
5C collector limpets (didn't like 5D)
3A prospector limpets (i get more yield (Up to 16 chunks) with this then the 1A (Up to 12 chunks) from one astroid but i still want to test this more)
1A refinery
1I detail scanner

Got rid of the 4A fuel scoop as i can now jump from where i mine to where i sell my goods in one jump
Also got rid of the docking computer too

I'd go for a 5A collector if you can. Longer limpet life.

Looking good though

I found they lasted too long, with 5C they have good range and enough time to collect everything. The 5A collectors just ended up following me and dying once i found the next astroid to mine

You need a 6A power distributor to escape from interdictions.

You have received a ton of good advice, you seem to have it pretty well setup but, two seismic charge launchers is redundant. You should also have the necessary mats on hand to synthesize limpets. It sucks when you have just a little space left to fill in your cargo racks and you run out of limpets. Better to synthesize a few than to try and haul that tasty cargo to a station to buy more limpets. o7

I'm rarely attacked once I've started mining so my shields are to protect me from self-inflicted damage. Non-player pirates tend to check out ships as they arrive at hot-spots, or as they respawn after time off line.

Looking at your build, I'd drop the shields down to grade 3 (3D would be enough, or 3C bi-weave) and swap in a 5E cargo rack for the extra gains - and you could drop the Powerr Plant to a 5A.

FWIW, Void Opals are high value, but can be difficult to find even in hotspots. Double Painite hotspots tend to return better Cr/hour - but you do need the full range of tools.
