Supercruise Assist

I'm pretty sure someone already brought this one up. but just to make another post.

Please have all ship built in with it. this is very helpful or add more tier 1 optional module.

More module spaces were added when they introduced it, to allow for it. If you had it built in, you should see the removal of the additional module spaces that you've already been given to accommodate it. There's absolutely no reason to get another additional slot + the 'benefits' of the assistance facility.

Personally, I'd rather not have it in any of my ships. Thankfully, as it currently stands - I've just removed them, all ships have an extra C1 option slot, and I don't ever have the hassle of needing to turn it off.

its a sacrifice of a slot for a lazy machine to some Cmdrs

Im lazy and this game has no real competition since players can play solo which you can really have 0 competition. but the thing its an option if you dont like to use it then dont use its not really gonna matter for others. for example i wanted have a detailed scanner i have to sacrifice another module space. supercruise assist its a quality of life improvement really not like will boost you from combat to another players.

It's a shame that this is undermined by the supercruise assist trick (manual full throttle till <5s approach then 75% throttle to 'hot drop' with module). The case you're making seems like it was supposed to be true, and is true for the docking computer; everyone should be able to dock faster than the DC, but nobody can hot-drop as effectively as with SCA. If Frontier added some skill-based drop system to manual supercruise (and removed it from the module) that would be pretty good. Personally I would rather have balance achieved through skill than by slot-rifice where possible, both are valid in their way but one is more interesting than the other imo.

you act like it would need to be one or the other. Let it be possible manually but keep it built into the mod. So you can either sacrifice a slot OR you can learn the skill to do it yourself

Sure. I don't really care beyond not wanting to sacrifice a slot myself and resenting supercruise assist being faster. The level of automation others use is of no interest to me (aside from BGS botting), I guess I was trying to be diplomatic because lots of posters in here care deeply about other people's spaceships.

I mean it added a slot to all ships so you're not losing anything by using it your just not gaining a siz 1 internal. There isn't a lot that needs to fit into those just don't use the docking computer and you give up nothing.
