But yes, definitely some ability to Xeno-scan with the SRV would be great. Maybe include SLF in that actually too, doing surface recon with a SLF is pretty fun.

Is it just me, or HIP 17125 A3A just got deleted alongside with A4? Not complaining about a loss of a farming route, just checking if drank too many adult beverages, or a couple of planets just got erased?

Nevermind, found it, by following somebody else's wake. They were erased for me though until i re-scanned them. Weird glitch. I have been to that planet many times over many months, so it couldn't have been exploration data issue. They were erased on system map as well, just those two. Never seen this kind of glitch in three years of playing.

Have that all the time, planets in Electra have been rescanned by me on multiple occasions in the last week.

Fair enough, I see they did reply. I would bump that if I were you, they're probably thinking you don't have that problem anymore, seeing as ED's been updated a few times since then.

Barnacle update. #

Two new barnacle systems added to the metasheet by myself the last few days.
First was the new Aegis base system in HIP 17497 . While scouting the new bases after the update, noted that this very close to merope system had viable temp candidate planets for barnacles.
Although i had long ago scanned the system, and most likely checked for barnacles in the past , since the Allripe barnacles are new i decided to take a fresh look around.
Located one quickly on B5 , and later on B6. Further scouting i found another each on both planets. Moved on after much time spent without further easy finds, but there should be more there.

Last night i was scouting around other systems i hadnt visited since before 2.2 and came across another system of interest.
Pleiades Sector SE-P b6-0
Having a Ammonia life gas giant and several rocky planets on the far stars it was worth a scan, wasn't listed on the Thargoid structure list but did turn out to have 2 viable rocky planets at the right temp along with several planets viable temp for barnacles. located 2 double barnacles there this morning on D 1.

Two planets with right temperature and silicate magma for possible Bark mounds also.

I've just learned that if you destroy Barnacles they appear renewed and untouched once you enter in and out the main menue? Can anyone here please confirm this??

I visited the new big site this morning and was struck by the haze in the crater and how far away it could be seen, at first I thought it was a graphic glitch but as I got closer I realised this was the place I was looking for. Stunning view, I would heartily recommend visiting.

Nice find :) No, this one is new, might stop by and check it out. I am patroling some systems trying to prove a theory. Unlucky so far but still some searching. Internet is giving me issues with frequent and random loss of connection to ISP which ofc shuts down the game. Kinda annoying.

I found a listening post in the bubble referring to "something huge," novel materials, and selling them to Maia.

I am having trouble locating whatever it wants me to find by eye. Where can I find the temp/gravity/composition ranges for surface stuff? I don't think it was in the OP.

What 'surface stuff' are you looking for, they have different search criteria? If you're having trouble finding feel free to share [up]

Otherwise you need to look around the forums and the canonn site for the various exploration guides - difficult to point you at the correct one based on 'looking for stuff' :)

Is there no simple guide to new planetary POI-hunting? Seems like it would take up a single paragraph. Poster #2 would be nice to do this.

Sounds like you should write one, since it's only a paragraph. I'm sure the barnacle / fumerole / GA / TS / BT searchers would be keen to have a simple guide like that :)

Will write for data links. I'm lazy, you're lazy, let's do eachother's work. Makes sense right? We'll even help people out. Can't argue with those bonus points.
