It's been years since tech broker been added, and since then all the new fancy toys added in tech broker have been 'purchasable' modules, that you pay certain amount of materials for ONE, instead of paying materials to unlock it for future purchase.
I was not really complaining about this before, as most modules added in the broker were "pre-engineered" versions of some existing modules. I don't like the idea of those modules being one-time purchases, but at least lore-wise, I could have cope with them--I see them as powerful specialized engineered modules, that you pay the materials to effectively cover the engineering cost.
Are these modules grindy? Yes.
Are these modules painful to get more when needed as they are offered at limited locations? Yes.
Are these modules modules holding up the already very limited module storage space, which is only 200, after all these years. Yes.
However, this newly added Thargoid Pulse Neutralizer really got me triggered, being a one-time purchase for some annoying ass materials.
Is this module an engineered version of an already existing module? NO
Is this module very powerful in general ways? NO
What the thargoid pulse neutralizer does, is to let you access a very specific gameplay area, a place added as one of the very few actual new contents in recent years; and guess what? not only does it being put behind a thick grind wall, it is an one-time purchase as such a specialized tool to simply let you "play some new content".
That makes no sense at all.
I dont understand if FDev is just trying to make the game more grindy to keep players "staying". If thats what they were after, that's not really gonna work well, and it pushes new players, if there still are any, even further away.
Fix:
Option 1, Simply make Thargoid Pulse Neutralizer an unlockable item, as well as all similar modules in future
Option 2, Rework Thargoid Pulse Neutralizer as a "pre-engineered" shutdown field neutralizer so it would function as both simultaneously。
