Thargoid Combat Zone support

In counter-strike systems, we are asked to engage in combat zones, which could be outside planetary bases, or in orbit.

Unlike Alert systems, there is no way to rearm or repair when fighting in these arenas. If you do leave to repair, the instance is reset and progress is lost, unless you've been really lucky and encountered another player.

Please spawn a fixed NPC fleet carrier in these areas, providing rearm and repair (and possibly a mission board), to allow these instances to carry on to their natural conclusion.

Indeed, for "counter-attack situations" the NPC Megaship attached to Aegis (maybe even azimuth) would make sense. After all, something like this has happened in the past: In the epic battle in Hip 22460, the support squadrons were in close systems.

It could even be a nice trade CG, providing megaships to Azimut and Aegis for counterattack support.

It's important that the carriers are deployed in the actual combat zones, as otherwise you lose the instance progression - but a megaship would help add to the feel that it's actively under counter-attack, and indeed could be a more involved way of rolling it out (counter-strike systems get a megaship, which needs to be supplied before carriers are deployed to combat zones). But honestly, I'd be happy with just carriers.

Old school pre-maelstrom way is to have a carrier nearby, or neighboring system if it's not allowed there. Then in a wing take turns to go repair and resupply while someone remains in the zone as an anchor. However, having a megaship CZ in the system is a neat idea.

Indeed, and if you have a wing you can do it as you can relay. But let's face it, teaming up with people is not an easy thing to do in this game, even with squadrons. The systems under attack attract commanders to one or two spots, which makes it easier to ad-hoc do this, but counter-strike systems have a myriad of possible places, and the chances of encountering another cmdr to keep the instance open is slim. The critical point is arm and repair without having to abandon the instance.
