Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

I saw on reddit they fixed it apparently.
Also on Twitter, though I haven’t yet been on my alt to check for myself. It’s not that much if a bother that I would rush to take a look.

Awaiting whether Thor exposure(vulnerability) comes with any twists or the boring Titan duck shoot show continues until it explodes (and the following weekly reset), right now.

Maelstrom Thor is depleted!

Bio storage capsules for Raijin best held onto for another week. I don't have many but want to deliver them at the appropriate point, and I quite enjoy collecting them as a break from other activity

Thor's second heart lasted about 4 1/2 hours. Having tried in open I could see around 8-10 CMDR's, then teamed with a regular companion in the open instance. I found it far more stable than previous titans - the odd early vent closure or double core exposure but neither vents or core got stuck over several hours unlike every other titan to date. If other people's experience is similar I'd say this will be one of the quicker ones to go particularly if solo /duo players can regularly get the core to 0%

We then tried in my player group and regularly got the core below 30% with at least one drop to zero. I'm not great at titan-bombing but between us it felt like a good result and we each got 2 x 400 arx for the two hearts

Looks like we may get another Saturday clear for Thor, since the surprises would probably have dropped on this Thursday if they did, and its third heart isn’t far off. Be nice to have those port CZs around Raijin with the next cycle… providing it has any populated controls within the counterstrike range when the big wave starts hitting it (but it probably should, even with the vast majority of its controls unpopulated).

Was also thinking of doing some pod rescues here and there if it remains a viable - or sensible - tool, even when I’m doing it with a Krait at 32-64 a run.

(Other thing I decided to pay attention to is that Raijin’s Thargoids didn’t immediately attempt to retake the cleared spire by abandoning surrounding controls, so that may be subject to the cooldown mechanism?)

After T. Indra, definitely reserving judgement there! We are still convinced that its per-ring integrity increased for the weekend then reverted on Monday, with little else able to explain why the weekend rate projected survival, then followed by a two-hours-per-ring decimation on Monday.

Most of the time the big changes have come at the start of a clearance (after Hadad the linearisation of difficulty, after Indra the focus on inhabited systems) so the end of the week is the time I'd expect something to happen if they're going to change things up for Raijin.

The two chosen at Thor would certainly be consistent with a one-week cooldown. And of course it may be something which only happens when the maelstrom is low on/out of spires generally.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a lot of Yttrium on Matrix planets?
It's one of the more common G4 raws in general, so that's probably also true of non-Matrix planets.

When they were first added I did compare with raw material set and didn't find any either notably absent or notably present across the set of Matrix sites as a whole, though I now can't find where I wrote that down...

I did some assault (till I ran out of ammo) on Thor yesterday in Mobius PvE Eurasia, encountering a few CMDRs. There was one instance of the blue field getting stuck, but it cleared itself after about 4 minutes. Other than that, no issues.

I have to say, 5 Guardian shard cannons (3×3+2×2) are a powerful combo to attack the Titan core; three salvos 5 shots each (which is as much as I can consistently manage per run without other CMDRs helping with the vents) were giving me about 10.5 million reward. (With other CMDRs I would usually get 14+ M per run; the record thus far was about 17.5 M.)

It might've, but at the same time, that was also the week where invasions made their return, whereas they've been uncharacteristically slow to clear this cycle compared to previous ones, while Thor is (so far) progressing at the rates of previous Titans, ignoring Hadad's record time defeat. So perhaps it is the opposite where players favor targeting the Titan over the invaded systems... or Frontier just gave the invasions a little buff on the Thargoid side, instead. But if Thor also magically slows down over the weekend despite higher participation, then yeah, it will most likely have been a manual intervention rather than people spreading out to the other areas after getting their basic reward contribution in (or simply having enough of the Titan attack loop for this one).

The two chosen at Thor would certainly be consistent with a one-week cooldown. And of course it may be something which only happens when the maelstrom is low on/out of spires generally.
So I guess we just wait to see what happens when the Titan's spires become low in number or run out, then. Since it is an indisputable fact they will before their control spheres are removed (as it was for Thor so it's nothing new, but, yeah).

Lack of torus and/or reward last night and this morning so still not completely fixed. I've equipped 3 caustic sinks to help get to the titan without so much need to re-fill them

Could very well be.

Normies play the game on a Sunday (the European Sunday + the American Sunday)...
...so it'd make sense to hold the sweatlords back a bit so that everyone gets a chance to punch the Core.

For a little glimpse regarding Titan rates, this was the per-ring progress at T. Indra:

Indra.png

Vertical lines are daily at 07:00, starting with Thursday:
  • There was a very suspicious gradient change at the end of the Thursday working day, somehow becoming slower for Thursday evening, normally a relatively active time.
  • The pause on Friday was update 18.07, which removed the damage reduction of Anti-guardian zone resistance.
  • The gradient becomes slower again for Friday evening, normally an even more active time than Thursday evening.
  • The high-activity weekend rate dropped to one per day, which is below minimum for completion were that to span the full week.
  • Suddenly the rate rises sharply just after Frontier awakens on Monday.
Here is T. Thor thus far:

Thor.png

Three rings on Thursday, two on the more active Friday, and what appears to be rate reductions at the end of both the working Thursday and Friday. It will never be more than a bit of evidence, but suffice to say that this goes exactly against all other measures of activity!

A lot of people have asked that they can't keep up, so you've been tweaked.

I am definitely starting to wish the top 5 controls in progress would be changed to display for the individual Titans (or could perhaps be attached to the Titan status display while they are not vulnerable?)... seeing how now some of Cocijo's controls have moved to the top purely by virtue of Raijin's spire-assisted ones in to 80+ range* getting cleared out. Mostly, one still remains.

Might not be a terrible inconvenience to check the DCoH site and copy/paste or type in the system name, but when you have a decent/informative UI in the game itself already it feels nice to use it.

*Right now it seems to be an easy way to catch some Tier 1 completion rewards. Already starting to look at a lot more filled material reserves for my alt from them (plus some missions in the invasions here and there).
