The Build-It Zoo

It's Friday, which means the poll has ended.

This week, we had the opportunity to house 3 fabulous species:
  1. Sun bear - unfortunately, the zoo that was offering auctioned them to another zoo, so we won't be acquiring any this time (1 vote)
  2. Southern cassowary - we almost had these, but the zoo that we were going to get them from backed out last minute (3 votes)
  3. Clouded leopard - despite losing our cassowaries, the Fish and Wildlife service has just rescued 2 clouded leopards from an illegal breeder and will bring them to our zoo (3 votes, but they were 1st)

Now, to build their new home

So, Steam isn't helping me to upload the images for the clouded leopards, so until I get these pics here's this week's mini-poll:

  1. Formosan black bear - a lovely pair has been offered by a zoo that has unfortunately gone downhill
  2. Himalayan brown bear - very rare, but one private animal collector has agreed to donate his pair to us
  3. Snow leopard - an elusive animal, 2 were cubs were found and raised by a local man, but because they got too big he's agreed to allow the zoo to house them

  1. The Himalayan brown bears that were offered to us, the guy decided to keep them, since he's very attached to them (0 votes; what's up with that?)
  2. The moonbears, we were almost there, almost, but another zoo acquired them before we could get to them (2 votes)
  3. The snow leopards, though, have just arrived to our zoo, and we can't wait to have them join our family (3 votes)

So, the Steam client won't let me publish photos still, so I can't show any progress yet. Really annoying

Yes, got it. Ok, here we go:

Lush forest, but not many bushes.

A part overlooking the area; this is a flat area above their cave shelter to sit on top and soak some rays.

Here's the male. The female is somewhere else, hiding.

The Mysterious Islands, an adventure through the unknown.

Later today I'll build the snow leopard habitat, and tomorrow will be the final poll; unfortunately, this zoo is getting too big (shocker), so this will be my last section before moving on to another project (maybe Built-It Zoo 2: The Expansion)

Yeah the texture thing is a big problem and it's very annoying, at least both of the leopard species will have a new house before changing location (did you already thought in which biome there will be the new zoo?).
A cold region. My next section was going to be North America, so I'll do either temperate or alpine.

And NO BUG HOUSES. They are a little bit of a hassle to deal with
