The "Can I Run Planet Coaster" thread

That is a pretty low end system. I would definitely aim for a better CPU. preferably an I5 or ryzen or better. The GPU is fine, but do get the newest generation. The 750 Ti is a couple of years old now and way less powerful than the 1050 Ti. The rest is all good, but note that you will need DDR4 RAM if you choose to get a newer CPU (which you should because the fx 6300 is slow).

I'm aware that it is low end... He said keep it under $600 and i couldn't fit an OS in with a ryzen or Intel chip... I tried an fx 8320 but it didn't quite cut it... Would it be able to run PC on medium at least?

With the 750 on lowest settings, with the 1050 you could run high but the CPU will hold it back (so low-med), and as soon as the amount of guest in the parks will grow the framerate will go down significantly.

I would advice to wait and save a bit more money so you can buy a better CPU.

That computer will run the game without a problem. Have you considered building your own system? You might be able to find some cheaper hardware.

Hey Sesac7,

Both of those laptops should be able to run the game. The V17 Nitro is probably a bit better than the V15 because of its better processor. Their GPU's are both fairly weak, the 950m is a little bit better than the 945m, but the difference is small. Have you looked at the laptop Slasher mentioned in his comment? (the one I replied to before this comment). That one is better suited for gaming.

Thanks for your reply!

Aesthetics is important to me, I don't like how most gamming laptop look like..

And what do you think about this: https://www.amazon.es/MSI-Stealth-Pro-GS73VR-7RF-281ES/dp/B06XV3SR1N

Like Luuknoord said, that laptop is good for gaming. However, it is very expensive.

Looks great. But building a desktop (probably not what you want I know) with the exact same specs costs me half the money, € 1.800,- I believe is a hell of a lot of money.
My bet this would run the game just fine.

Yeah for 920 euro you could probably make a desktop that is equal to that laptop in specs. It having desktop hardware will make it slightly faster (i7 7700k also overclock-able, can also opt for the i5 version since its cheaper). Then you can buy a cheap laptop for the laptop stuff and save a few 100 euros. [tongue]

With those specs you will be able to run the game at around medium settings.

Thanks Chems!

I do not have much idea of computer systems, what should I look for in a laptop to play with high quality?

For a laptop, a gtx 980m or 1060-1070 or higher for the videocard, and a intel i7 processor (6700HQ or 7700HQ), but laptops with those specs are ridiculously expensive, so you're better off buying a desktop + cheap laptop at that point imho.

Yea thats great. Just don't run the games at 4K resolution.

Can I run it?

AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute cores 4C+6G (4CPUs) 1.8 GHz
AMD Radeon R6 Graphics
8GB Ram
1 TB HD

I am not sure. You have a relatively low clock speed which could mean loss of performance faster when you are building a park.
The Graphics I can't judge unfortunately.

At the moment I would say it could run but I am not sure. Maybe someone can help?

With those specs you can run the game, but the performance will be very bad, and when you start to add things and guests to your park it will become unplayable.

Finally I decided to buy this HP OMEN:

Intel Core i7 7ª Gen 7700HQ / 2.8 GHz (3.8 GHz) / 6 MB Caché

16 GB DDR4

128 GB - M.2 SSD + 1 TB HDD / 7200 rpm

17.3" WLED 1920 x 1080 / Full HD

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 4 GB GDDR5

I hope it is enough to launch the game effectively

That will be more than enough to have good performance at medium settings.
