The "Can I Run Planet Coaster" thread

Howdy everyone, just recently upgraded from a laptop to a low end gaming pc and just wondering if my setup can run Planet Coaster with at least 40FPS on at the very least low on 1080p? If not, where am I at with this setup?

Intel i7-930 CPU
1366 Socket Quad Core @ 2.8GHz
Gigabyte X58A-UD3R
3x 2GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 Ram (1333MHz)
ASUS nVidia GT640-2GB
Windows 7 Professional.

You might be able to run the game on low with 40 fps @ 1080p in an empty park, but even then I wouldn't count on it. Your GPU is extremely weak for modern games, and as soon as you start to build your low amount of RAM will fill up fairly quick too and the game's framerate will crash to single digit(s).

Alright, that's a shame. Thanks for responding anyway.

If I'm correct, I don't see too many people with Ryzen setups ? What do you think of this combination to run PC ?

- Ryzen 7 1700
- 16Gb of DDR4 Ram (3200 Mhz)
- Nvidia GeForce 1070 with 8 Gb of Ram

Other components don't really play a role in the performance I would think ?

Thanks for the insights !

All people with Ryzens are currently in the bug report section.....

If they fix this issue you should have a great setup for the game.

Another person asking.

I built a PC out of cheap parts i found on eBay and what was laying in the basement gathering dust. It's not much but I was wanting to know if what I have is good enough.

I5-2400
8 GB Ram
AMD Radeon HD 7570

I know the GPU is old and needs updating but it's not in my budget at this point in time. Bills come first. I'm not looking at playing this on high settings.

That GPU is going to struggle with the game, even at low settings and resolution.

Switched to my new 7700k and 32gb Ram on the weekend. And guess what: PC runs still very bad with <20fps on big parks. What a fail!

I have 16GB DDR4 RAM GTX 1070 and an i7 6700k and manage 1080p full screen maxed settings 6k people 22 rides and manage 24-40fps with moderate scenery. My pc has windows 10 and I use mis afterburner.

Hello Planet Coaster fans - I havent played any theme park / roller coaster sim since the original Roller Coaster tycoon came out some 15 years ago. However, after seeing the amazing graphics that this game has. It has caught my attention and at this point. I am on the search for my next PC as the PC that I have right now is about 6 years old and I know it wont play this game. My budget is about $1000 and I want to find a PC that can play on high to medium settings. If someone can look at the 5 choices that I have posted links to and let me know which PC is the best for the game. It would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know this one is a $90 over where I want to spend on a PC, but how much better will this PC be when it comes to playing Planet Coaster compared to the other 4 that I mentioned above.

Will give you the most performance of the ones linked, it will have no problems running the game.

Have you thought about maybe building your own system? It could get you some better hardware for a lower price.

I have no interest in building a PC at all to be honest with you. As for the PC, I do like that. However, I think I found 2 PC's that are better than the one you chose and they are as follows:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpo...-hard-drive-black-red/5732509.p?skuId=5732509

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cybertr...0-1tb-hard-drive-blue/5290903.p?skuId=5290903

Both PC's that I just posted have a better processor than the one that you chose.

Yea but the performance gain between the i7 7700k vs the i7 6700k will be very minimal, whereas the difference in performance between the 1060 and 1050 is rather large.

I'd go with Chems choice, it has a better graphics card than the others and at a better price. The CPU's on all three will pretty much perform the same.
