Emails are not working at my docs, most of the time. My doc is 5 minutes walk away and the only way to make contact, is to go and wait for someone to come out and ask you to leave. Then, you can book a phone call. The vaccine rollout has been so successful the backlog of people who were not seen throughout lockdown for non-urgent stuff is starting to be tackled. There are millions of people waiting though. The e-mail system is your best bet for routine stuff and we are in this for the long haul, it wont be cleared quickly it's a herculean task.
I fixed my diabetes through diet and exercise which under usual circumstances would mean regular checkups and blood testing to make sure I was getting it right and keeping on top of it over time. Without GP access I've DIY'd it all along with a home test kit and the internet. Pretty successfully so far though I had a really bad patch when I lost so much body fat I had to increase my diet as I started to dip which is the opposite end of the blood sugar spectrum and caught me by surprise as I couldn't recognise the feel.
On the bright side I've reintroduced junk food (in moderation)![]()

The NHS back log is a nightmare. I'll stick with what I have said before. The NHS was given the impression that they could start working on the back-log, back in April and they were offering people appointments. Which they have now had to cancel, as Covid related admissions, are still an issue.
