And is the same with any Vaccine approved before the Pandemic . Robin had made us all aware of this an eternity ago in the other Thread . Some things about vaccines - like lets say rare exclusions - can only be found out and learned about a given vaccine by administering it for years, to many people .
Exactly and it is for this reason that I do not intend to get the vaccine at the moment.

😷

The more I read about anti-vaxxers the more I think we should just make the jabs compulsory. Thankfully not an issue here in the UK.

This is a problem, as experts warn that skeptics, especially in far-right strongholds, are holding us back from herd immunity.

So you would rather see people that actually need this Vaccine and who's live depends on it, will continue to die around the world?
If people don't want to take it, give it to the one that wants to. Why is such simple concept so hard to understand for some people?
I'm fairly certain no-one in this thread is saying don't give it to people that want it. Certainly not in the post you quoted.

Where did you get the idea I think anyone willing to be vaccinated should be deprived it ?. An utterly fictitious concern, like microchips or satanic DNA editing.

By forcing jabs to be compulsory, you would give it to a large population that doesn't wants to or are not in immediate danger, robbing people that actually do want and who's actual lives it can actually save around the world. Supply is limited.
So i am certain i quoted the right post.
I don't agree with "forced" vaccination but as has been discussed many times it will likely become much more a case of indirect force by denying un-vaccinated people access to certain things (unless they have a genuine medical reason they can't be vaccinated).

At least until the levels of infection/transmission become insignificant and/or treatment makes infection trivial for the vast majority of people.

But without getting sufficient levels of vaccination in each country the to acheive herd immunity the spread won't be stopped though. Thankfully the number of people that can't/won't be vaccinated probably isn't enough to stop herd immunity being achieved - in most places at least.

OMG that "school" in Miami, who are banning vaccinated teachers because of the wacky idea that being in close proximity to a vaccinated person causes menstrual irregularities and stuff. This is way beyond "turning the frogs gay" territory now.

I do kinda feel bad for the people who genuinely believe this happened to them, it's like that whole mass hysteria outbreak at the US embassy in Cuba where a bunch of people who were unfamiliar with the sound of crickets heard them and all thought some kind of sonic weapon was attacking them and began developing psychosomatic symptoms.

Once everyone willing is vaccinated we could think in terms of compulsory vaccinations for the unwilling. Till we reach that point it's not worth considering. It depends entirely how much it harms efforts to achieve herd immunity or puts people with genuine medical exemptions at risk.

We could probably start considering how to go about it in the UK as with any luck we'll reach that point pretty quickly.

Speaking of that, and of the limited supplies, I have an unprovable but increasing nagging suspicion at the back of my mind that Bill Gates actually started the "Bill Gates Vaccine Microchip" conspiracy theory personally in order to then deflect the genuine criticism of the actual catastrophic consequences of his actual, real actions and their direct impact in restricting global vaccine production.

A girl was expelled from an American school for witchcraft after she drew a star on her palm, the teachers couldn't accept witchcraft isn't real in the twenty first century.

Free advertising for him and Microsoft, to everyone except maniacs it's just a funny story otherwise known as viral marketing.

Herd immunity concept has been dropped for few weeks now i think. I remember reading a few articles back in february, i am sure there are more now. " Living with the Pandemic " is the new goal now i think.
Well whatever you want to call it the quickest way to get to a sustainable "living with the pandemic" from a far fewer people dying from covid, an economic, employment, general quality of life and mental health point of view is through as many people getting vaccinated as soon as possible.
