Yep, its going to be a little crowded with Carriers there, and Sag-A* too I guess. Iconic locations will be magnets for Carriers to set up shop.
I think getting the Distant Worlds Carrier there will be the sentimental end of the DW2 chapter so to speak, as its what we intended the final DW2 mission goal to be. So now's the chance to finish it off and have something out there that recognizes the hard work the community did in the past by making Beagle Point the focus of so many events and adventures.
My sqaudron (Rocky Ice Syndicate) is already in Kepler's Creast scouting FC location and routes there and back again. But there are two initiatives for Kepler's too as of a day or two. I thought your list intended to point out sectors that was intended for just one carrier within the DSSA initiative.
Little update on the carriers/region topic. My sorting formula was wrong, it's actually worse than I thought.

Can you check your submission form?
I was intending to base my Carrier at the top of the Formorian Frontier, just below the Abyss.
When I went into the submission form to update it, there was a new drop down for commanders to select the region that they were heading towards. I couldn't see Formorian Frontier on that drop down so chose the Abyss instead. I guess I am one fo the 6 but wont actually get to the Abyss when I depart from Colonia.
Can you confirm that all regions are available to be selected?
This is a great idea. I don't think I'll be getting a carrier but I'd love to support the DSSA in any way I can, through mining or refuelling.
As it says now on the form, absent regions are unavailable. The Formorian Frontier is reserved for a future thingamajig.

There will definitely be some big mining and prospecting projects announced in this forum close to the Carrier launch events in June. Stay tuned for those!
This week I was able to find a good location for my carrier. The Prai Hypoo nebula has a variety of lifeforms scattered around it, and this nice little moon sits just outside the edge of the nebula, allowing for some nice sky views. On the surface there are gas vents, brain trees, and bark mounds. This unassuming little moon sits about 1100 ls in from the entry point and is easy to get to.
Not tempted by one of the guardian sites? They can be quite scenic and often have the trees on the system as wellThis week I was able to find a good location for my carrier. Nope, I was able to tag my name all over this system.
Hm, I was a bit surprised about this. Didn't think it would be that popular, and the other two sign-ups don't seem to have communicated neither here nor on Discord, so I don't know why they picked the region as well. Well, in any case, it's not like there isn't enough space for three carriers there, plus they seem set to launch later.
Quite a lot of carriers on the list now though. Their numbers exploded after Frontier announced there will be UC, no?
You would prefer something with more gravitas, I expect.
