The Deep Space Support Array (DSSA) | A FleetComm Initiative

Although not part of the DSSA fleet deployment, I'll eventually pick somewhere out in the black to base my itinerant space-faring hobo commander's carrier. It will likely be some distance from any DSSA carriers and I've never been out west, so...

I've got my thumb out, waiting for a non-DSSA carrier to come down to my little chunk of the galaxy. Drop on by and give me a ride!

Hi Orvidius, I see my FC (DSSA 11) is missing from this map. Is there some way I can get it pinned? Thanks!

OK, I found the problem. The script assumed everyone's callsigns were different, but you were getting overwritten by someone else with "TBD-TBD". I've switched it to assume your DSSA # is the unique field. It should be showing up now.

Thanks for looking into it! I suppose if I'd just been patient it would have been a self-correcting issue by tomorrow : )

Sorry if I missed it but is there a list of the initial waypoints? I'm considering a ride along with the flotilla out to the first waypoint just to enjoy the sight and shakedown my ship. I swear I saw it at one time, but can't locate it now.

If you are talking about the first flotilla, Aphelion Expedition, this thread has infos and waypoints. We start today/tomorrow!

While there might not be signups at the moment, I am planning on having my carrier Discordia stationed about a third of the way up the Arcadian Stream, down in the lower Neutron Deck (X +11, y +23, z -1000ly). Refuel, Repair, Rearm and UC services open to all. It'll be my main Exploration Base Camp and I expect to be there for some time. No pins there yet, so hopefully I can be added to the list when sign ups open again.

I've got an interesting question, now that Fleet Carriers have gone live. I'm planning on scouting the route I've been taking from Beagle Point (DW2) to Colonia for Tritium hot spots. Is there any good way of reporting what I find?

Despite the issues logging in we still had a good turnout for our deployment of DSSA waypoint 53 the Celestial Light Brigade's mining and exploration colony, soon to be home to 3 fleet carriers with full services, mining and exploration gear and a player run tritium economy at the heart of over 300 Earth Like World containing systems first discovered or mapped by CLB pilots. The first of our carriers has already arrived in Voqooe BI-H D11-864 over the ELW with 10k excess Tritium already in stock.

There is a #dssa-logistics channel on the FleetComm server for this very purpose.

Also there is the Tritium Pathway Network, which is supposed to be collating finds (not used it yet, so I have no clue if it works): https://tinyurl.com/tripn-app-v3

Edit: Also - people offering to 'scout ahead' can be seen as counterproductive. When there are organised trips it can be rather disheartening when well-meaning individuals are finding stuff before your expedition even enters the area. I've already had some searching my target area & thinking they are helping, rather than making the whole trip feel kinda pointless. Scouting as part of the expedition is probably more in-keeping with the idea of an expedition IMHO. But hey - more Tritium = good tritium :)

Marx, that

Well, Carriers 9 + 98 are already fairly close together for such a small region, so I would suggest mainly focusing on putting yourself somewhere on the "far edge" of the Scutum-Centaurus arm to avoid having 3 Carriers too close in that region. Just my $0.02!
As of now I am exploring the area around BLEOU CHRIA BW-C D1 and NYAUTHOEA AV-X E1-2. If i do not find any other interesting locations one of those will be my destination, because other carriers are a good chunk away. I was also looking into maybe going to the upper right of Hieronymus, but the stars there are not so interesting.

In addition: Did someone look into the Tritium supplies at Colonia, how bad is it? I would like to start from there however i fear that getting access to Tritium will be rather hard.
