The Deep Space Support Array (DSSA) | A FleetComm Initiative

I've got my own carrier that I'll be stationing out in The Void indefinitely. Guess I'm a bit late for joining DSSA, but I'm sticking with my plan. Full services except for black market.

Edit: Plan to sell tritium (for a reasonable price) that I mine while stationed there.

@Qohen Leth , @Erimus Kamzel

Deep Space 12 is operational in the Veils Region, system Flyoo Prao JC-B d1-5

I've also submitted a GMP POI post with all required info.

This is an outstanding effort. I thank the CMDRs involved for adding an exciting dimension to deep exploration.

I'm currently en route to Prai Hypoo TX-B d4 in Wraith-1, my trusty DBS. I'll be making a "left" and moving on to Byeia Thoea CA-A d2, and from there, who knows. Along the way, I've discovered a couple fantastic spots for carriers to visit or linger. I'm happy to share if anyone is interested. Again, thank you.

So a quick question from a junior explorer out on his first real expedition into the deep Black.

What is the easiest and quickest way to locate the nearest DSSA carrier - is there any other methods than just going manually through the Google Docs table and assessing which one would be the nearest?

Currently, I am somewhere in the middle of Sanguineous Rim, so I am guesstimating that either one i Kepler's Crest or Achilles Altar would be the closest.

It would be great if the EDSM map sometime in the future would show DSSA carriers, since they are there for minimum a year.

Great initiative, can't wait to see and dock with my first fleet carrier even though I am thousands of lightyears from the Bubble!
The DSSA Reginleif departs towards the Kepler's Crest sector in a few days. It will make a stop at Ploea Theia IG-Y c8 for an evening before going on to it's position.

You'd be welcome aboard if you are nearby and want a ride down there. More info here:

That map is simply amazing. The galaxy just got a whole lot smaller. ;-)

You'll end up a lot closer to my current position then!

I will plan to rendevouz with DSSA Reginleif once you have arrived at your destination.

What services will you have aboard - Will it be possible to refit my Asp for a little Tritium mining, and would you be willing to buy it?

We have Repair, Armoury, Shipyard and UC. The cost (5 000 000 Cr/week upkeep) for Outfitting felt too steep, so you can't outfit for mining.
But the Reginleif has tritium to buy and donate to its depot for CMDR's wanting to contribute to the mission.
The Discord now has a flight plan if you want to see where it passses by.

I am already out in the black with my carrier and heard about this long after I left. I know there are currently no signups/slots available but I would just like to throw my hat in the ring and take part should a slot become available.

Carriers name is Melchetts Rest, I provide Repair, Armoury, Refuel (just as an option) Shipyard and UC. Melchetts Rest also has a full hold of tritium to buy and donate if you wish. I am currently near the Traikeou Nebula en route to the Perseus Arm where I had planned to sit in DS for over a year. I am more than happy to offer support services for other carriers in this sector if your roster is full.

See you out there :)

First Tri3 discovered outside of human space. This will be a great refuelling stop for Carriers in the 'northeaster' galactic core regions. (y)

While that's a great find, it's not the first. As far as I know, that one goes to Praea Euq SG-Y d10 AB 1, discovered 13 days ago: see here.
Update: ah, I see that you silently edited it to say that it's the first outside the Inner Orion Spur. Yep, that's correct now.

Also, I thought that the GMP had a rule / guideline about not naming POIs after their discoverer. Did that change?

BTW, I made an adjustment to the EDAstro map, to exclude marker pins for carriers where the target launch date is in the past, and the carrier is still in "pre-planning" or "preparation" states. They will show up again if their form is updated to a different status, or they revise their launch date to be in the future again. Right now this just affects three:

Code:
Skipping unprepared carrier #104 "Star Gazer" [BUG-DSO] (owner: ProgramRAM) -12497.7,-65.0938,22365.8 (Hypua Flyoae QU-V d3-65)
Skipping unprepared carrier #96 "DSSA Galt's Gulch" [101-057] (owner: Francisco d'Anconia) -36505,-63.6875,24398.3 (PHRIO FLYOU IH-P B53-0)
Skipping unprepared carrier #98 "Zorco Station" [L61-V6X] (owner: Esteban Zorco) -15693.1,-219.906,52073.4 (DROOTIAE DL-Y G2)

EDIT: The idea here is just to remove the markers for carriers that might have been abandoned instead of launching on schedule. So it's a fairly narrow scope of removing the ones where the status indicates that they're not at least ready or underway, if we're already past their own launch date.
