THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

"At Phaethon's Reach, Follow the Path of Souls, DB-IB Fi(0) T-1319 SUM(10,7,5,3)"
.
Could Fi(0) mean the start of the Fibonacci series?
.
http://i.imgur.com/jX9uGYK.png
.
If we take the numbers 1319, 1984, 3303 as Fibonacci series, we can extend these as follows, 654,665,1319,1984,3303.
.
If we join numbers 654,665,1319 as follows, 6546651319 we have ten numbers, from this result, we then select numbers according to positions indicated by the numbers 10,7,5,3.
.
We then obtain for position 10 we get a 9, for position 7 we get a 1, for position 5 we get a 6 and for position 3 we get a 4. From this we obtain numbers 9164.
.
Therefore, either the number 9164 represents something as is, OR, we could SUM(9+1+6+4) = 20, which is the Fibonacci position F(20) which equals 6765.
Why not extend the sequence back as far as you can:
643, 11, 654, 665, 1319, 1984, 3303
Any more than that and negative numbers would feature, so perhaps continue your method from here:
10th number: 6
7th number: 5
5th number: 1
3rd number: 3
SUM (6,5,1,3) is 15, or F(15)=610
I've no idea how to translate this into a location, though :(

Achilles had three horses, Balius, Xanthus and Pedasos. The first tw were imortal, and the third one was mortal. He later rebuked Xanthus for not saving Patroclus, leaving only the mortal Pedasos and the immortal Balius in contention as his favourite, so I'm going to guess Balius is Achilles favoured Horse?

Zeus namesakes now lies in sol - Titan ? A nice moon that is strangely permit locked?

TRansformed into a hawk - Daedalion?

Daughter of Daedalion - Chione?

Talking of Chione I wonder if the moon was so named to reflect the double of the mythology? Chione in mythology was by hermes and by orion. Chione in reclamation was by war in the imperial eviction of fed settlers, then in the reclamation civil war, Coincedence?

55+13+5+2=75

To me 75 is Reorte. :D

Sorry, to much RR line calculations. :p
.
If that is the case, why represent the order starting with 10,7,5,3 ? Instead of 3,5,7,10 ? So the idea to begin with 10 then followed by 7,5,3, in that order might be important.

My bet for 21 is that it is the key for the Fibonacci cipher- the key is placed at the end of the plain text to encode using that cipher

2,7,14,15,18,20.

There are some half marks in there too, but you only get credit for a full correct ad unambiguous answer. ;)

Cheers,

I agree with most of this, but for 9, I believe that would be Hemera and for Achilles' favored horse, didn't he rebuke Xanthus? never mind, posted at the same time as Drew

Additionally, I noticed some speculation that 'Zephyrum' may be a clue to reading the sequence in a Westerly (i.e. backwards) fashion. This is misleading as Zephyr blows from the West to the East.

For what it's worth, these are the answers the Hutton Truckers came up with this morning, with the most likely answer on the left. We didn't work out the second-last one at all. We thought Briseis was especially good, but perhaps we were being a bit too clever.

STYX / ACHERON - The river to the underworld
ECHIDNA - Gaia’s daughter all unfurled
YILDUN / DELTA URSA MINORIS - Fourth minor bear *in vain*
EURYDICE (sun chariot) - By viper’s sting was slain
INVIDIA / RHAMNUSIA / ADRASTEIA - Also known as Nemesis
BELLEROPHON / PEGASUS - The doom of Chimera
PANACAEA / EPIONE - She is tasked with soothing pain
EURYCLEIA / CIRCE - Suckling Odysseus from afar
HEMERA / RHEA - Mother of the mother of
CRONUS - Leader of the Titans
DAEDALION - He transformed into a hawk
CHIONE - A daughter of Daedalion’s
IAPETUS [- The piercer was how he was known
ANTICLEA - Mother of Ulysses
AEOLIUS - Ruler of the winds
NYX [EREBUS] - God of night, primordial flees
JUPITER / DIAS - Zeus’ namesake now lies in Sol
BRISEIS / PEDASOS / XANTHUS / BALIUS - Achilles’ favoured horse
ERINYES / FURIES - Women of vengeance infernal
CASSIOPEIA - The vain queen rides not forth
OMEGA?? / EGO?? / QUIT?? / CURSUS?? / QUID?? - A final word, a course to follow, a poor miser’s sum
ZERO - If you would understand it all, seek Fibonacci’s Zephyrum

Could this be Chaos ?

According to Hesiod's Theogony, there is no "mother of the mother of" Kronos because Gaia, Kronos' mother in this tradition, had no mother (or father) - Chaos was there first but did not create Gaia. However, according to an alternative mythological tradition known through Hyginus' Fabulae, Gaia had a mother: Hemera.

Ninja'd: it's not Hemera.

I've been talking to a friend of mine, Freya, who doesn't play the game but she's interested in ancient mythology. Together we've been working out in game locations (systems, planets and a ship) based on these riddles. This is what we've put together so far.

1 The river to the underworld - Styx System

2 Gaia’s daughter all unfurled - Pontus System or Nyx System

3 Fourth minor bear in vain -

4 By viper’s sting was slain - Echidna? Typhon?

5 Also known as Nemesis - Nemesis, Tartarus Point (station), Momus Reach System

6 The doom of Chimera - FNS Bellerophon - Merope 5C

7 She is tasked with soothing pain - Epione?

8 Suckling Odysseus from afar -

9 Mother of the mother of - Gaia?

10 Leader of the Titans - Cronus, Elysia System

11 He transformed into a hawk - Daedalion, Prism System

12 A daughter of Daedalion’s - Chione, Prism System

13 The piercer was how he was known - Iapetus, Sol

14 Mother of Ulysses - Anticlea, Prism System

15 Ruler of the winds - Aeolus System

16 God of night, primordial flees - Nyx System

17 Zeus’ namesake now lies in Sol - Jupiter/Persephone, Sol System

18 Achilles’ favoured horse - Xanthus, Balius, Pedasos or Chiron?

19 Women of vengeance infernal - Nemesis, Tartarus Point (station), Momus Reach System

20 The vain queen rides not forth -

21 A final word, a course to follow, a poor miser’s sum

22 If you would understand it all, seek Fibonacci’s Zephyrum - Fibonacci's west wind?

Some are duplicates, so it's possible one of those riddles is referring to something else? We're not sure yet but will keep working on it.

EDIT: I see Drew has confirmed some of these already. Okay :)

EDIT2: Underlined all the ones that are confirmed, put the incorrect ones in italic.

It could be Gaia. Gaia is the mother of the mother (Rhea) of the Olympian gods and goddesses.
