I am with you here. I understand their tactic to get those Characters safe. But what then? I already said that a simple message would not be a way FD might end this (i wouldn't). Maybe i am wrong, but i would drop the most lethal NPCs i could on top of them, once they did what they want to do. And then? Most pilots without weapons? What then?
So, assuming a whole bunch of Stuff(tm) comes screaming out of Col 70 Sector behind Salomé, does that mean the permit will be down tomorrow? And if so, who cares what she has to say, shouldn't we be heading in to check out Col 70 Sector FY-N c21-3??? Or do our scientisty-friends have ships and spreadsheets ready to go with a secret plan they haven't told anyone about for that eventuality (or worse, CoR)? Opening the damn sectors again and seeing what new content is there for us would be the best ending possible for this whole rigamarole. (Although it ending in Tionisla with the Orbital Graveyard coming online would be cool too).

It's a pity, I was just saying on our slack channel, in effect you now have a enemy force who are trying to kill Salome, who may ignore you or may try to kill you.
And then a 'friendly' force who will try to kill you.
So if you are trying to defend Salome, you are in more danger from the other defenders of Salome...
Ok, after reading the latest (unintentional) announcements of PAC, I've decided to go to a concert tomorrow evening. Its starts at the same time as the event so I will be back online earliest 3h later. Its a pity but for me the whole event was spoiled by the actions of some overly eager people. I guess this is part of the game so I don't blame FD or Drew for this. I am eager to see how things will develop from here and how all of this reads in the next book. I wish everyone a nice event nonetheless.

I plotted a route between the starting point and Sol, and will probably position myself along the frontier. I will probably tune into one of the streams to follow the chase.

What are all us theorycrafters going to do once we're kicked out into unemployment with the closure of the rift mystery? The seemingly obvious answer to me is Raxxla, but we'd be working with even less than we started with here if I'm not mistaken.
Perhaps we'll stake claim to it and create a camp of refuge for redundant rifters in the coming months.

And just as someone lines up the killshot on Salome' A Tharg drops buy to see what all the fuss is, and EVERYONE in that instance tries to potshot the Tharg, Salome' gets away to deliver yet another stirring speech about the blindingly obvious corrupt political setup. The server then collapses under the shear weight of player salt.

I´m just here because of your threaten. I used to think that I wanted to hear salome but now I want her dead. I´m just a python commander but what you are doing here is to completely up the game experience cause if we are not part of your lobby we can´t go help Salome fighting. Which means you want us to make your dirty job and you will be the chosenones for have fun.
I´ll never do anything for you.

Possibly true. Or she's so steeped in her mission that the end justifies the means. And surely she realizes a cult of personality has built up around her. Those normally don't end well, either violently or by literally drinking their own koolaid.

I want to go and see, maybe shoot something, maybe get blown up a few times, try and keep up with the pack, maybe be targeted myself - who knows? I just want to go and have fun, playing a video game and following a story I love.
