Dont you think riedquat and reorte systems make a short and very inaccurate line for something so far away?
yes its suitably enigmatic just like everything else

2 points make a perfectly accurate line. You need 3 for an inaccurate line.

2 points simply make a straight line, but not necessarily an accurate line...
More deliberations to mull over...
In certain aspects of spirituality, the route to Enlightenment is by casting aside the seven veils: (in order of being discarded)
7: Red - awareness of the self
6: Yellow - Awareness of the other world
5: Pink - Awareness of love
4: Blue - Awareness of the animals and elements
3: Deep Blue - Awareness of Angels and aliens
2: Violet - Awareness of the interconnected cosmos
1: Clear /crystal - Awareness of heaven (death) ..... you have to die to be enlightened....
Anyway, I've looked at Salome - In biblical stories, she is the daughter of Herodias. Herodias married her own uncle, Herod Antipan. John the Baptist wasn't keen on the relationship and was vocal about it. Salome asked for John's head as payment in kind for a dance for Herod, but was prompted by her mother. 7 Veils are not mentioned, and it is suggested that the dance was actually just the antics of a cute kid, rather than a dance ending in nakedness.... the 7 veils dance is a Western invention.
Biblical references:
Matthew 14:6-11
Mark 6:21-28
This biblical story may be a re-telling of the legend of Ishtar - one of the references in that one being the ritual leaving of jewelry. Ishtar is represented by an 8-pointed star. She passed through the 7 gates of the underworld, leaving an item of clothing at each one. Oddly, she was wearing 7 items of clothing.... A Lapis LAzuli flute is mentioned. I think Lapis Lazuli is green... In part of the story, a person can only leave the underworld if someone else takes their place....
Kahina is derived from the Arabic Al-Kahinah, meaning 'fortune teller'.
Tin foil time:
Kahina had to go, so Salome could appear.
'Core of the problem' = CoR = Children of Raxxla
This is like one of those magic eye puzzles.... it will be so damn obvious AFTER we've been told what it is.
Just ever so slightly off-topic: I just finished the audiobook version of Reclamation, and it was damn good. Thouroughly enjoyed it. And the voice really sparked some nostalgia in me; he really sounded like Richard Burton voicing The War of the Worlds.
I didn't really take away any hints from it, but then again I didn't expect to, since all clues regarding the Rift from Reclamation have already been posted here, but I really enjoyed the story nonetheless.
It does however make me wonder something. The ending really leaves quite a bit of room for a sequel, and I can't help but ask myself if Drew perhaps is very eager to write a sequel, but he just really can't right now because we haven't found "it" yet, and a sequel would definitely give away way too much.
Ah, the irony of success I guessAnyway, just wanted to say this whole Rifting business has lead to me undertaking my most ambitious exploration run yet, and had me listen to a beautiful story while doing it as well.
So procedural gen CO-R systems maybe
Well, it ain't EAFOTS CO-R B 18-0... nothing but a lonely T-Tauri here. Interesting placement in that you have to look through the Heart Nebula to see the bubble....
Drew said in the recent Podcast that he has not begun writing a sequel as FDev have not granted any further licenses. Until they do, no-one can write any additional novels.

Yes, well ... to quote Christoff from the movie The Truman Show, "we accept the reality with which we are presented." If our universe is a simulation and it did have bugs would we recognize them as bugs or would we invent a religion or a scientific theory to explain the bug away?
I can imagine how the explorers in Elite must try and explain how whole patches of stars near the galactic center appear in perfect squares. There must be some science behind it, right?![]()
Can someone please remind me if Drew said anything about a wolf or something?
