Edit about her name her full name is Kahina Tijani Loren

Kahina can mean, witch, sorceress, seer, diviner
Tijani can mean, crowning
Loren can mean, bay leaf

I think it is in multiple systems not one

Pretty sure that finding the system is not tied to anything specific other than finding the right system.

**P.S. Any tips on that tidbit of info that seemed so cleverly dropped into the book in the middle / end? ;-)

**if it's yet been implemented [/glance at Drew inquisitively]**

A perusal of the Galnet feeds over the next few weeks and months may make things a little less... nebulous.

Cheers,

Drew.

By the description of the book, it should be a binary system, one star gives a warm red light, and the other actinic blue. They are nicknamed in the book, but the stars don't really have those names or I had found them already.

It should have at least one earth like or terraformed world, and it will most probably be agriculture, although this last point could be wrong. Most probably it will also have a low population.

I'm not sure though if the book was finished before the full galaxy was opened, so it might then not be entirely accurate...

I'm depressed can't decide which goose to chase, so many geese. Actinic blue is a problem, Type O superhot hypergiant to get that color afik. Any hint Hassan is from a generation ship colony that wouldn't show as inhabited, you thinking easter egg by any chance? That would frost you, finally sitting down to your first relaxing meal, recalling tales of your father's, father's, father's, father's great-great-great-great gandfather's bravery in setting out from Earth when suddenly an asp lands with some jerk asking, "Boy was I happy I saw your guy's lights, don't think I could have held all the way to Sol"

LOL!

Rep'd :)

Hey guys...

Any idea on how to sync my EDDiscovery data with the edsm server so I can see where ive been on the map?

Ta!

I'm wrestling with the same. Capturing all the systems, but they don't appear on the star map, nor do they have co-ordinates?
You need to trilaterate the systems that you want Eddiscovery to show. If it's blue in the log, you don't have coordinates and need to trilaterate. I think it's the second tab...

I do not know if the coordinated hunting along the R/R line is still relevant, but, while waiting to find something more concrete, I'll start to scan sub-systems along the line. I would indicate the selected systems on Dommarraa's spreadsheet. I made my own spreadsheet for screenshots and significant systems details, if necessary.

you need to add distances by hand and triangulate, then sync with esdm. to do this you need to register on the edsm website and copy your api key into eddiscovery.

blue system names = no coordinates

Possibly - that assumes that there is something in the rift, and we're not all looking in the total wrong place ;-)

Come and join us - the water is lovely :) (if a bit dark..)

EDIT:

And I've hit the end of the line again - this time Phoi Aescs ZE-P c19-0

'Set down for the night' a beautiful icy moon of a gas giant -interesting this one- 'ammonia magma core' (not come across that before)

Hope the bed bugs don't bite. Gratuitous shot of a not very star lit sky in the rift

Wowsers... I got a rep from Drew for my post yesterday: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=239212&p=3717426&viewfull=1#post3717426

If only I knew which bit he was repping for :S

Given his apparent love of names and tie-ins with that, I would bet it's your work in that regard.

According to Wikipedia:
Autolycus obtained most of the same skills that his supposed father Hermes possesses, such as the art of theft, trickery, and skill with the lyre and gracious song. It was said that he "loved to make white of black, and black of white, from a hornless animal to a horned one, or from horned one to a hornless". He was given the gift that his thievery could not be caught by anyone.

So we have a sneaky trickster god that is conspicuously missing, it seems. Or the common point is Odysseus. Or both...

Or he just liked your line of thinking. :)

Well, Odysseus was sent on a 20 year voyage before he could return home. I hope Kahina makes it home sooner. :)

Odysseus and Kahina have a lot in common as characters as well. They are both cunning and they are brutal against those that take over their home.
Kahina even used the Trojan Clipper trick. ;-)

Reading up on Autolycus a bit more, it seems he had a bit of a habit of disguising things to appear as other things, to avoid detection. I'm reminded of the fake Clipper, filled with dummy parts.

I think some part of what we're looking for is not to be taken at face value. Something is not what it appears to be.

I'm at work right now, so I can't check. But Autolycus apparently lived at the base of Mount Parnassus. Do we have a Parnassus in game?

I also wonder given the etymology of Kahina is fortune teller, diviner does this tie into the Greek naming of the systems in Prism. Is she an Oracle? is she tied into Apollo and Delphi? Possibly a Manto?

Does the name change from Kahina (diviner) to Salome (peace) mean she had a vision or "seen" something which foretells the doom of the human race in the galaxy?
