Wait... the answer to this treasure hunt was a system related to Kahina/Selome? Wasn't the location of one of the previous treasure hunts the Prism system? Or maybe my memory is really, really fading? Probably the latter... I did post earlier that Luko gave Kahina the name Salome so... yeah. Must be early Alzheimer's onset.

You are right. Prism was a target system in a treasure hunt, around chrismas time.

Thank for your help, but I have done that, im not clever today at all myself it seems you must put in 4 references of all the systems you visit I thought it would plot my route on the map of EDSM after admit my logs
It plots if the location is know, otherwise you have to triangulate. Most people seem to triangulate once every 1000ly (the end of a plotted route), sometimes more often every couple hundred. Alternatively, don't bother. When you go somewhere popular, you are likely to pass through a known system. Your map will look horrid and jerky, but the more you put in, the more you get out

So - I got this far... and had to turn back

Namely, the stars started to run out - to the point where it was still possible to go further (I reckon I could have managed another 100ly-200ly maybe. - however doing so means a great deal of backtracking and circuitous routes - as the place is a nest of blind dead end alleys.

Also the route tracker does now work, as routes involve doubling back.

This was really illustrated when I looked to navigate back, and:
- the route plotter is no help, as it can't handle doubling back
- the route back also looked like a nest of blind alleys - literally you could not see which the right route, that does not lead into a starfield cul the sack.
Frankly - had I not had EDDiscovery running, capturing every single jump - I suspect I would be stuck and 'lost there', until I decided to self destruct, as the place is a maze.

Anyway.. plotting my way back now (jump-by-jump) using EDDiscovery.

Will probably try and head for the 'formadine bridge' to get across to the other side, or have another go a going forwards into the rift, this time with a little more confidence (having demonstrated to myself that I can go in,and come back out again, and that the EDDiscovery tools do actually work!)

Must confess- hadn't realised how far into the maze I'd gone until I started to struggling to go forwards, and took a look back, and realised without help, there was no chance I'd be able to find my way out again...

Delmonte - I see from the galactic map (in game) you're 1/2 way to the next galaxy ;-) [seriously impessive!] on the outside of the spiral arm - have you tried heading 'inwards' from the arm into the rift? (I am heading 'out' into the rift - have decided to try a second attempt) - would be interesting to see if we can meet in the middle

Nothing only 2 blackhole's and when you visit be sure to throttle down to zero otherwise it will be the end of your journey

Heading out to Bovomit something tell me.... it must be in that region

I start also to think about to enter Bovomit something is required could that be you must have done the Dark Wheel missions first?

And?.......(baited breath...)

With former President Halsey coming out of a coma soon, very closerly mirroring one of the two instances that caused Imperial ships to go on sale, I think it's well worth considering the possibility that if Fed ships don't go on sale, there were meta-game reasons for the multiple Imperial rankless offers: that is, that we should be investigating the Rift in Clippers.

Interesting idea. Maybe something specific about Clippers, Warp signature or something along those lines ........

But if rank isn't needed and someone playing the original release could find it then needing a Clipper doesn't make sense. Although I wasn't playing back then so if rank wasn't needed at first as you were. I know rank got removed for a period (that's why I've got one!).

Im at Bovomit, in between lay systems called Syroida HJ-D B18-0 and so on, only on a lower Z axis then Bovomit have these systems being visit.

I was also thinking of that going back and take my clipper and do the journey again
