Yep and without the book, and the little nuggets from Drew we all would be even more in the dark about this because FD's breadcrumbs and narrative is sorely lacking. This all came about again because of the book, it was part of the fruitless UA search then it almost passed into obscurity.

No. It doesn't. And Drew's actual statement does not say that we don't need anything except the Galnet Articles. He said that we don't need the book because all of the info from the book has been posted to the Internet and that any further clues will come from Galnet... which is forthcoming, hence Drew's admonition to pay attention to Galnet... there is more to come.
Ya which to me changes the meaning of "bypassed Galcop, Federation and Imperial security". I always thought it was an all in one event ... But what if she was on a bit of a treasure hunt and had to get Galcop and Fed data (maybe from Titan and Mars ?) Prior to getting the imperial data on Achenar...

The stars out here in the rift are too few and far between, I think the empty space is invading my already too feeble mind.

Starting from that bright shiny center and looking out from there for a way out of the woods I wonder if there just might be a possible trail by using the approx coords and hand ((not really) http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/geometry-solids/distance-two-points.php)) calculate a breadcrumb trail or two away from there. I say two because its a binary and thinking one way in might get you there alive and the other get you fried, which if it's setup to get there, that would be a cute and devious thing to do.
What do people think would be a fair max jumponium range?
I can get about 75 max with my 36lyr conda.

OT: Why is there two MWC 50?
The interesting thing about the mention of Galcop, is that it dates the holofac.
Galcop was shut down some time between 3150 and 3200. Most likely in the mid 3170s. This puts us very close to the end of the Thargoid war.
The Thargoid activity in FFE was focused around the direction of Polaris, which is very close to the RR-line (horizontaly),
All good bud, and no worries on missed messages. I spent quite a bit of time in the Qiedaea sector, however, your theory on working outwards from Rho maybe the way to go, still gonna have to wait until after 2.1 for me as I nearly lost my mind in that void. I had 79lyr range with J3 so @75lyr range I think you will have the same issue, if not a lil more.

Playing around with the "friendliest place this side of ridequat" I ended up at Amicium which took me up in that general direction if I remember... Didn't find anything particularly promising tho
