I put a Gigabyte Windforce OC R9 270X in my son's PC - it's working fine for the beta.
Hi
I'm currently running the alpha on a MacBook Pro i7, 16GB DDR3, GT 650M 1GB and I'm getting about 20-30ish FPS on the 1440 x 900 display.
I would like to build a hackintosh so I can replace my ageing MacPro (2008) and would like to run my ultra wide monitor just for Emaxed out at 2560 x 1080. I'm currently looking at a i5, 8GB, EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked ACX 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card.
Does anyone know if this will be up to the job, on max settings at 60fps? I'm a little worried that I might be disappointed when I finally build it.
Thanks in advance
Richard
Since I last posted this I have been looking around for a better deal and I came across a R9 270x with 4gb ram compared to a R9 280x with just 2gb and the 280x was £40 more expensive so I think I'll be going for the cheaper card.
…
The number of people running more than 4 cores AND playing Elite will be tiny. It's just not worth Frontiers time to try and make that setup more effective than a 4770.
I'm one of those people.. my gaming laptop is a:
Digital Storm x17D Laptop (Model: 9570)
Intel Core i7-3970X (Six Core) (15MB Cache), 2x SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M 4GB each, 32GB memory and a raid0-900GB SSD boot drive, win7 pro 64bit, with Thrustmaster HOTAS warthog and dual Cougar MFDs.
and ED runs very nicely tyvm.

Good news indeed!
Any info as to when they might be released and possible prices?
Better to ask what's the best graphics card for you're budget?
What's your budget?
impossible to find one under 100€ ?
