I want to buy an x52 pro, madcatz is manufacturer now right? They want 169$ for a pre order. The prices keep jumping, even if I did take the hit how long would I have to wait before I get it? If I do not buy today, what will be the price tomorrow?

My local Fry's Electronics had two on the shelf plus a demo unit, a whole bunch of X55's and three Warthogs.

So plenty of HOTAS available in stores here at the moment.

I don't keep up to date with flight sims in general so not sure what their average monthly sales are like, but could it just be both Elite and Star Citizen ramping up and them not expecting a sudden jump in demand ?

I had mine on preorder about 2 months ago from Dabs ..had to wait about a month , but it was worth it. All I can say is pre order and wait ,at least you'll get it eventually

How come these things are so hard to find for under £100 ? is it just me or are they literally out of stock everywhere ? ... same goes for the PRO version.

I picked up a new one today (non pro version) from a local retailer who also sells through ebay, paid AU$146 for it, which would be less than your £100 I'm guessing. I was under the impression that Saitek had stopped making them due to the release of the X55 and X65F, but the guy at the shop today tells me they're only stopping the X52 Pro version, and retaining the non-pro version as an "entry level" joystick, with the X55 as mid level and the X65F as the "pro" level.

Yeah Amazon.co.uk were unable to replace mine when it broke, due to zero stock and zero expected stock (of the Pro version).

Definitely tough to get hold of.

If there is stock shortage, it is certainly because hundreds of thousand people bought. While waiting for to buy the retail version of the game

:p

I just managed to order a X52 non-Pro through Walmart. The weird was, it didn't show up when searching for it, but when I clicked on the "recently viewed" picture it showed up and in stock.
Anyways... I should be able to pick up my X52 next week at my local store.:D

Over here in the UK Scan have removed the X52 and are showing the X52 Pro as expecting stock due in on the 9th July.

Other sites show both avaliable to pre-order including saitek still but prices are very variable, £40 price range without much looking.

As I had a £50 goodwill voucher from Dabs, due to a monumetal series of mistakes on a single order I have placed my order for a pro with them so hopefully they will come through as they don't do the x55 or x65.

As promised, pics of the covers, they are uh, kind of colourful (spoiler tags in case you want to avert your eyes):

Help with thrustmaster 16000m

I just bought it and it works great, i only wanted to change the x and y axis so that i only press the stick half way on the axis to get full effect.

I installed Target software but there is no default profile to edit.

I can only create new profiles but they are completly emtpy..

How to edit the default profile?

EDIT: Found the problem, the Targeting SW is not working under WIN 8.1

Just disable all energy save from device manager in HID USB controllers, restart, Target is now working.

Try full axis movement for at leas t a couple of hours - you might grow to like the extra fidelity/accuracy it allows.

Thrustmaster T16000M,Help

Hey guys,

My joystick finally arrived today and I have it all sorted/configured, (I think), apart from the thrust. I would like to set the thrust lever on my T16000M to control both forward and reverse thrust but no matter what I change it only seems to account for forward thrust. Ideally I would like a small, (very small) deadzone in the mid range with everything forward of that forward and everything behind that deadzone as reverse thrust, also having probs with the sensitivity of the thrust.

Any help greatly appreciated, and apologies for my noobness, this is the first joystick ive owned for 20 years!!

Thanks in advance commanders,

BC

I had mine working in both forward only and full range by just changing the setting in the options. However I did find that the range of motion on the throttle was so short that even with a dead zone it made it very very difficult to get decent control over the thrust.

In the end i set the option to only use forward thrust and them mapped a button to toggle reverse thrust.
