I'm wondering what the survival rates for torpedo bombers were....brave lads.It would be fantastic, because you'd have to do exactly what the crew would do, fly right into the flak, aim using the ranging tools, and not flinch.....

ED is very nice in non-VR
And i heard that is marvelous in VR
I doubt a VR game is particular fun in non-VR.
I'm wracking my memory but I don't think I've ever played a game that let me fly a torpedo bomber!!
Holy smokes, I almost shed a tear when I saw "Microprose"... Those guys were the absolute best back in the late 80's, early 90's... I didn't knew they still existed.
They don't. The new Microprose is like the new Atari...almost nothing from the original company, except a brand name and some IP.
OMG No I didn't know that existed!.....dayum...Im a brit but WW2 yank Carrier aircraft are so fricken cool. Love the Corsair....what a beast.Did you not play Microprose's 1942: The Pacific Air War?
Didn't even knew they still existed? The Mighty Eighth | MicroProse
Imagine yourself inside a B-17 flying over Germany, with flak exploding all around you. Deadly Me-109s and FW-190s are zooming and booming spitting bullets that rip through the wings and the fuselage of your Flying Fortress. Smoke fills the cabin. You glance out the window to see flames licking...microprose.com
There's some nice looking screenshots of the aircraft there, this could be great, multicrew done right hopefully
I played it, the UI isn't so hot, imo.Can be.
I play Star Trek Bridge Crew on a normal monitor with my VR owning mates.
Didn't IL2 have a Pacific theatre as well? I remember flying a Kate I believe.Did you not play Microprose's 1942: The Pacific Air War?
If you like story vids from IL2 or Rise of Flight...Zetexy is probably one of the best...if not the number 1 contributer...Love his vids, every one tells a story.

Pacific Fighter? Might have been a Microsoft FS - I know I flew off some carriers and it had some kind of campaign mode. Not yet, at least in the current incarnation (IL-2 Great Battles). Currently scenarios are all in eastern europe and east germany. Normandy is due to be released soon, and there are rumours of a pacific dlc being in the cards, but no confirmation yet. However there are already several american airplanes playable in the Battle of Bodenplatte DLC, which takes part in the latest part of the war.
