There are people who can chain-own pets one after another.
I had one dog, long time ago and when I lost her, I decided I'll never own a pet, again.
Some of us invest too much of our own soul in our pets and it's an investment that can never pay off in a long run.
Well, maybe Aras or tortoises would be worth it, but cats, dogs, etc... no thanks.
I mean, would you invest in a relationship if you knew it will only last 10 years and then it'll end? I wouldn't.
