Yeah they do that a lot, just a bit of harmless fun and they don't take the money.
I always assume that they are just as big a fan as all of us are and just as keen to get it made.

Would be good to know how many people they get to place a pre-order :S

And yea it'd be interesting to know how many have been pre-ordered....... maybe we should all do so too, show braben the interest ;)

They shouldn't take money for pre-orders (unless they state that you need to pay part of the cost for a pre-order, but I've never seen that on Play), they should only charge you once the item has shipped.

Perhaps I should go forward to the year 3798 (when Elite 4 finally gets released), come back to the present day, and stick it up for sale...

I honestly think that elite 4 will come, eventually. Unfortunately, frontier devs have always said it will be after completion of the outsider. The outsider was given an approximate release date of about 400 years ago and is still not here, the talk in the Xbox world is that frontier do not have massive staff numbers and keep dropping projects to work on things like kinectimals.

Dear Santa,

For Christmas i would really like frontier developments to remove their fingers and finish work on the outsider and put all their efforts into elite 4. I have been a really really good boy this year and feel like this is not a massive ask.
