Player journal files can be modified and uploaded to the various sites. It is very doubtful that there is any internal data checks in Inara for things like cargo limits of various ships, let alone credit balances.
So no pitchforks?Yep, it may be just a glitch caused by partial data imports on user side or through API (no overall cargo state received and subsequent commodity unit pickups, which caused the cargo to go over the possible limit on the site). No black magic there.

I just did some crunching here because I was interested too. Let's say Marz played every day since Elite was launched back in 2014:
Averages:
587 Million credits earned every day
480 minerals mined every day
930 commodities smuggled every day
321 passengers delivered every day
That there is some dedication. Now that I look at this, and possibly putting in wing trading missions which were very lucrative, Marz would have definitely looked for and cashed in on every cash grab that was fad at the time

That inara chart does seem like a useful indicator of the maximum potential earnings a Cmdr can reach at any given time.
Props to Cmdr Marz for dedication (although the last status update appears to be the 2nd of June so perhaps only a useful indicator up to the Odd launch).
Looking at the Inara page he hasn't made a credit in the last 60 days.
The level of grind required to do this blows my mind to pieces...
I guess he didn't like Odyssey.
Last check he has 1.5 trillion - he reached 1 trillion almost a year and a half ago.
I speak to Marz on a regular basis. He is doing the Exo-Grind, already got Elite I recently.
But he is missing mining. That's what he usually does or passenger missions.
When he mines, he mines about 3-5 cutters full per day.
He must be some kind of sentient mining laser...
His only thought: Mine! Mine! Mine!
He loves mining. Some people are like that. I find it relaxing too tbh. Also great to catch up on my movies and half arxed playing a game.
