It looks fantastic, the planet surface on Ross 154 is incredible.
And remember folks, this is still EARLY days for Pioneer. These guys (Tomm and his team) deserve all the support they can get and there is an open appeal to the wider community to get involved.
So if you have the know how or even advice, it can all help to further refine this great game. The planets you have seen thus far are but a tiny fraction of what is out there. Goodness knows what else the game engine has created further out in the galaxy!

Downloaded it last night, very, very impressed ran everything on 1080p with all the detail maxed out and it looked stunning.

I just don't want to see this project die off as it has so much potential. To have 3 fully featured Elite re-makes would be great indeed. Oolite is already there and is always improving, FFE3D, although progress of late has slowed a little, is still a great game. Pioneer could be the icing on the Elite cake. I would dearly love to know what Mr Braben thinks of it. :S

It comes with a range of bug fixes and little enhancements. A big one being a functioning docking auto pilot. Have fun!

i was off the web for about ten days
someone with a scissor must have walked by my place and cut me off
no,
only a misunderstanding of the provider, connection should be cancelled at first of december not now
could be it will take a while then until i'm back
near future is a bit uncertain now about me
but mostly my own fault
i will have to manage to get all new things here as soon as i find some hours off.

Just discovered this thread and Pioneer now, downloaded and had a quick play around. Wow - watching this project like a hawk from now on. I love the galaxy screen which shows the Milky Way as it actually is. Would it be possible to colour this map with the colour of every star that's in the galaxy so it wouldn't appear white ? Then it would show up with different colours in different regions, more yellow in the centre and more blue in the arms. Would look great as you zoom in too. If each star is a pixel I can't see that being a major problem to implement.
It's good to see someone finally getting this far with a Frontier-like game, I only hope that it continues to evolve adding extra features that give people what they would like to see in such a game.
Keeping an eye on the Russian mod, but it's good to see a second project like this based on it's own code.

playability?
at least you can roam around in space in your vessel, have some fights when entering a new system, land, dock and trade goods.
not implemented yet are a lot, but projected allready.
missions have to be written
vids or identikit faces for the video screen
pirates that will leave from spaceports (allready planned to be soon released)
