What if i don't want to ? Also PP kind of makes me stay where my power is for obvious reasons.
Are you somehow banned from Solo? You do have full access to solo and can farm in it to your hearts content.
SO why is this still a multiplayer game i ask you if everybody is farming in his private universe?
No, you can have your solo power play. But it can't influence my open power play world.
If you don't want to merge solo and open, than separate it completely.

Nah m8, because what if his 60$ feel the need to play in Open but his character is in Solo. This thread is a big joke. It's full of people who want to be able to boast their shiny space car in Open but at the same time farm freely in Solo so that nobody scratches their new shiny paint or full of people who just don't like Open and for some reason doin't want changes to a mode they are not interested in. A ask you : Why? Why are so against changes in mode you never play anyway? I seriously don't understand it...

Yes but does multiplayer not also require some actual players? If everybody is in Solo why is the multiplayer feature still there, even if you want to play Multiplayer, you end up playing Singleplayer because nobody is in Open anyway...
Everybody in solo or groups? You have data to prove this or is it just hyperbole? The game gives you a choice, but lots here want to lessen that choice by either separating modes or deleting them. You might want to re-define your concept of multiplayer with regards to ED.

This poll, while still a relatively small sample, would tend to suggest that the majority of players play at least some of the time in modes other than Open.
And I seriously don't understand why you cannot understand that people play Solo because they want to play Solo, not because they want to get into Open with their shiny Battleconda. Are seriously afraid of someone who didn't train his PvP skills ?
Again please provide your extensive data than shows that "everybody" is in solo.

In my opinion, especially for power play, simply it's not fair for players in the open to be affected by actions from players from solo/private. Simply put you cannot shot other players to defend your power, and no hauling some pixels in game it's not the same as fighting the same pixels
Maybe a compromise is to have players from solo/private keep their shiny toys even in open, but their actions cannot influence the power play in the open.
What made you think that?
Because the Mistress of Minions still has some feeling left for the real PC's. However, she is nurturing her minions more and more every day! With her care....they will continue to grow stronger and more deadly. Soon, folks...real soon...all modes will be equal and we shall be free once more!
It's not our Solo mode. Frontier created it for everyone. Go on, have a look, it's there for you too.
But why is it easier to "farm" in? Because there aren't other players getting in your way. Those other players that you choose (or not) to play with.
Like I said, you can have your solo. Play PvE as long as you like. Show those NPCs who's the boss. But why would your actions in solo influence my open universe? You'll go undermine my system and I can't do anything to stop you.
And whats the use of having a biggest, baddest ship if you are afraid to loose it or you are not ready to pay the insurance?
Because multiple players are playing it.

Unfortunately...you will have to adjust your idea of fairness, or not play. The PvP activity in this game is based on PvE trophy collecting against, and between, large groups.
