maybe for some one who is a bit of a male anatomy on their cranium. For anyone else, deliberately spoiling someone elses game just because they are bored of it themselves is, or should be unthinkable.

There are a lot of games on steam. if you are done with elite, go and get one of them.

Maybe we should ask these people for some freebie ships. I reckon the rearm cost of a Conda would pay for a Python :p

Or npc bosses.

Friend of mine actually found one of those pre-wings. He was interdicted by 3 Anacondas while he was flying an Eagle. We never figured out what they wanted (surely not the cargo...), because he didn't survive long enough to read the NPC chatter xD

This is because in ED we are allowed to play our own way. As for the 'galactic powers' they will go on about their business with or without help from players but even if every player was in solo those players can still contribute to helping 'their' faction.

I know that very well. All im saying is this Powers stuff will be all in Solo, since noone will risk losing time and money in open for the same rewards

Well in that case it would be Open that earns the extra cash because they have to deal with added threats. We can play your troll game both ways.

But the added threats are your bonus. That's why you play Open remember. Open = added threats, Solo = extra cash. You can choose. Brilliant. Extra cash for solo, solves everything. Thank you.

I've had a number of frightening encounters with multiple npc ships in open so I don't think thats exclusive to solo.

You carry on the trolling.

Fine, solo - don't like PvP and interacting with players - cut them off from the indirect PvP galactic risk game. Brilliant. Solves everything.

Apart from choice. Where's my choice?

Tell me, why is asking for more for solo "trolling" and asking for more for open is legitimate?

This is not what the answer should be : go play something else. I was advertised by trailers and everything, a game with interraction and a living universe. As of right now(not much will change with Powers, since people will play even more in solo to gain the advantage) the world is sterile. Apart from VERY VERY predictable NPC's, players are hardly seen. I dont want targets to shoot at, i want the challenge of a human player thinking and acting like a damn human. Not a sidewinder attacking my Python, for some small cargo, or even for nothing. is that? Does he actually think he has a chance ? I want some humans to make it more interestign, FD say they are inviting us to PvP in PP, but will people actuqlly be playing open at all?

hmm, NPC bosses - I like that idea :)

NPC pirate owned Cap ships !!!! That would give people something to think about ! :D

Or something less combat oriented, the ruthless Slave trading tycoon, and you have to complete missions to weaken his economic influence.. and then after he sent some bounty hunters after you, he finally decides to show up in his luxury cruiser to an epic face off *nod*

You know exactly why and are continuing being obtuse to further your agenda.

It would certainly be interesting and would bring the parity between threats encountered in open and threats encountered in solo in line.

but if you are bored of the game that IS the only answer, go away, have a breather, and then maybe come back later. FD can only put the tools out there for player interaction. Elite has always been a solo game. this one steps it up, by as you 100% accurately say, inviting us to play in a MP environment............. just because not enough people take them up on that invite its not really their faullt (If you are saying the game needs more content I will give you a hell yeah! of course i want more, but, we have what we have right now).

FD say they are inviting us to PvP in PP, but will people actuqlly be playing open at all?

I do not know... like you say FD INVITE us to play in open. Many will try it out, indeed most players will start off in open, I know I did, my 1st 7 months+ were in open (admittedly in premium beta and beta i did not have much choice ;) ) The only reason i dropped out was because my home systems are around the lave leesti area...... I would not have even considered it before "that" nonsence started.... however then I found the Mobius group and it seems like a win win for me. I never would have looked for it however had it not been for dumbfire rocket killers sitting inside a space station so you have those people to thank for losing me.

So if the players in open want to keep seeing other players in open, then the onus is kind of on them to keep the place the sort of place where people may want to be and hope that the majority stick around.

its (much like this thread) a circular argument... but the answer should never be, block of players from going into the mode of their choice, given that they were & still are advertised.

No, I honestly have no idea. I'm not the one with an agenda. I just want you to stop telling me, and players like me, that my choice is less valid than yours and so you deserve some kind of reward.

I do not require any reward.

I merely seek to make it that each mode have the same level of difficulty in completing tasks contributing to the galactic Risk game.

I have already stated Open players have to deal with more chance encounters than solo players. I am seeking a solution whereby both solo and open players can play there preferred mode and not feel they are at a disadvantage in completing goals.

Open players chose to have to deal with more chance encounters than solo players. (Btw, Open players can also chose to be solo players. We aren't a different species we just picked a different menu option at that time, sometimes we are also open players. It's strange I know.)

True. I don't see why solo players should gain a competitive edge in the galactic Risk game though. After all they chose to play in solo.

If you think it's an advantage to play in solo then you can also chose to play in solo. (Yes, I saw "galactic Risk", very droll, you don't have to repeat it in every post now.)
