Well Derek Smart posted another blog entry - but I honestly see nothing new there. It's all just the same stuff, repeated. At this point I think it's pointless to reiterate these things.
Also, on the topic of ships spawning/despawning: I can live with that. No really. Star Citizen is not about realism, no matter how hard some fans bang on about it, so landing pads that just spawn ships is fine by me. Of course it would be better if said spawning was at least a little obscured like in Elite where there's hangar bays, but eh... not a dealbreaker IMHO. And the station looks nice, even with that missing solar panel. Things break in space too. It's all good.
I just don't see how all that stuff works in a multiplayer game. THAT is my problem seeing these assets. Can stations be damaged or destroyed? Are they impervious to such things? Do they have defenses? How do the very large ships land there, or are there multiple landing pad sizes like in Elite? For that matter, how many different stations are there going to be? When I die, do I respawn at a station or somewhere else? Do I spawn on foot in a room, or inside a ship? What if I don't have any money left, what happens then?
There's answers to some of those questions, but most are either vague or contradictory. I admit I fail at finding out how the "game loop" works really. Same with trade and exploration. Is there maybe a collected reddit thread that lists the confirmed, set-in-stone mechanics?
